Nice Amiga tribute to the FLT c64 demo
rulez added on the 2021-09-09 13:55:12 by Queen_Luna
Good mood and celebratory! And technically rather interesting, as it runs on a hardware screen and yet loads from AmigaDOS. Also it doesn't seem to be written in plain Asm, but is smooth nevertheless. Would like to thumb it up for motivational reasons, but cannot, as it doesn't seem to be running on a plain A500. Watched it from an A600.
Nice prod, esp. for it is partly written in C, as Bifat point out.
I won't thumb up as I was part of the lineup behind it :)
However, it was a pleasure to work with Ozzy.
Oh, it happens the demo runs like a charm on the AROS rom. Quite an achievement, imho :D

Nice try at reproducing effects from a C64 demo. Motivational thumb. I hope to see more from you in the future. Next time try to go kickstart 1.3 instead of 2.0.
Nice demo! Works fine in a stock A1200, but noticed that it dislikes Blizzard 1230 accelerator.

Stock 1200 is tested, since I dont have a blizzard I didnt know how to test it but.. however what kind of problems do you get with this accellerator? Does the demo at least start?
The demo starts just fine, but graphics get garbled when the black & white picture should appear. My guess from the looks is that the external memory causes the problem and graphics end up to fast memory instead of chip memory.
Nice little demo with a catchy tune. We need more pls!
Well, I have to thumb this, obviously~
Nice!

as you can see I put the CHIP modifier in front of the variable to force the image to be stored in chip ram, so it's correct, probably the problem is elsewhere even because it works on a600 with 2mb of pcmcia fast ram
Sure, so my guess wasn't very good then. :) Oddly enough I couldn't reproduce tha crash with UAE even it has a Blizzard emulation mode.
Great to see the threshold to take part in Amiga demo development gets lower with these frameworks. It's the best sign of a lively scene.

Nice little demo. Not ideal but also not such a big problem, that it doesn't work with Kick1.3, because this demo luckily don't need more than 512kb ram. This means, even on a normal A500 with A501 memory-expansion (512kb chipram and 512kb fastram) a Softkick 2.0 can be loaded into the memory of the A500 from disk and after the Amiga has softkicked to Kick2.0, the demo can be loaded with the remaining 512kb of memory. A bit cumbersome, but in this way, it also works on A500s with 1MB memory.
Nice!
The ADF works fine on A500 with Kickstart 3.2.
