Surprisingly well-made!

Unique style but not my flavour. Sorry!
Congrats on entering the Demoscene Simone. I was not expecting this from you but it was a really nice release. Congrats on going all the way and even winning :).
Fresh stuff. I like it.
Really nice work, super fresh and interesting... Check it out !!
no fan of politics in demos but as a demo this is amazing. nice style and REALLY fantastic music!
Nicely done, great music and wise message!
This was really nice and meaningful
I quite liked the dot matrix and the smooth effects in it. Very well done overall.
Great demo i like it, very well done for only one person. I like the message too.
Great style, worked well on the stream, and I guess 2020 is not a bad year to release message demos!
Wonderful piece of art! Important message!
Now this is a surprise.. Where did you came from? :) Cool original 030 demo!
Good message and great visuals.
Well deserved 1st place, this is outstanding.
A classic is born. Long time I seen anything like this. Runs great on my Blizzard 030 IV. Original, great message, great sound and fantastic effects and gfx. Must taken a long time to do something like this and you did it all alone. Respect!
Yes! Fucking yes!
Very very nice! Excellent, original presentation.
Thank you for making this - magnificent work.
Really well made demo with great music. Would've liked it much more without the political messages though.
Nice demo, nice message
Cool dot-matrix engine!
Bellissima produzione Simone.

Fantastic job(s).

Just use "is ok" for posting without giving a vote (i.e. neutral rating).
Really nice stuff! Long time since I heard guitar music on the Amiga.

Don't worry about it man, take this thumb up to compensate! :p(Excuse my noobness, but it looks like there isn't a way to post a comment without giving a vote, so I gave a thumbs-up; it feels unfair though, so if an mod could remove that, I'd be happy.)
Also what StingRay said, you can use the piggie. Very nice demo, loved it on the stream. I'm not a big fan of such direct political messages in demos but the deliverance was outstanding.
Fresh.
Well done! Great style
Like it!. Great music!
Look mate, you can't just arrive in the demoscene with a production of that calibre as your first release AAAANNND on an old school platform!
OK, well maybe you can. It's a brilliant piece of work and all by one person. Love the dot matrix aestetic. Music fits the mood and message perfectly. While the rest of us are generally pushing pixels in some abstract fashion, you're using them to express yourself. It's a brave thing to do and you've done it really well.

This is bloody good! I can see that a vast amount of time, effort and love has gone into this, and the whole demo fits together very well. Congratulations!
As a demo this absolutely rulez!
As what you wanted it to be, a message, it totally worked with me...saw it in the Competition (livestream) and at the end i was crying. ;) I just cryed again, when i read the .nfo-file and realized i completely got what you tried to say in the competition already, altho it all went by that fast!
Thanx for a new Amiga-classic i will rewatch a lot in the future!

Outstanding. Dripping with atmosphere. An impressive display of design chops, not everyone can make scrollers look fresh like this! A simple but important message, unchecked capitalism and the far right need to be taken down.
One of my favourites this year, for sure.

Wow. Me like it and I don’t have an issue with a concrete message as it’s an art form... we always claim our job here as digital art so we should judge it like movies, music, books etc... and not many say political messages doesn’t have a place there. So it’s up of the creator.
So me like!

cute
Great demo!
Very nice!
Wow, the info is ultra awesome! You made my day by showing the motivation and the execution with that rather complete description of all. I don't remember any demo showing the motivation of it in the info file. Perhaps I just don't read much infos.. Great!
And the demo rules of course too! Stepping up with such a big achievement directly at start is somehow scary!
Some of the concepts you describe as the cure are really worth to think of, and perhaps good to be implemented. As said nice that you just put out such a big release, almost out of nowhere!

Very cool with the pinball graphics and that crew occupying the top spots in the high score table.
Love these bendy scrollers!

I like the demo and the political message!
cool stuff
tl;dr
But a nicely done message-demo.
And oh boy, what an Amiga firstie. Welcome!

While i fullheartedly agree with the message of the demo it would have helped to bring it across a little more subtle and less sledge-hammery. Artsy people like that, you know? :p
The music is very good as well, although the size of the demo suggests its probably fully streamed and not tracked.
As a firsty this absolutely rocks.

Amazing from one person. Amazing for a first time. The theme was pitched about right. A true classic.
I'm not a super-fan of the griddy pixels, but I still enjoyed it.
One can argue about the messaging and the context, but inarguably this is an amazingly well-produced demo which takes the viewer along for a perfectly crafted journey through a smoothly flowing series of scenes.
Wonderful. Nicely done!
Is the music available somewhere separately by any chance?
What wysiwtf said :)
nice / original
Wow Saimo!.... i've followed your game works for years, but this took me by storm, lovely demo! What an entrance in the scene! Awesome!
Nice (Italian) job!
Please consider to add a link for the awesome soundtrack!

Very nice production. Have been watching your videos with great excitement regarding the progress of the DotMatrix engine for a long time. Cool end product!
really nice effects
unfortunately that political agenda...

Holy shit, this was great. Thank you for making scrollers great again. Demo of the year so far, no contest.
Also, very nice political agenda!

Oh my oh my oh my... For something that looks like pinball fantasies score section this is big. Also quite big subjects for discussion. Unbelievable firstie. Wish it had lesser requirements though.
Fast effects and so. Nice track. Political message is much too naive and not subtle enough like wysiwtf said already. Who can disagree with this message anyway? All just IMHO, so a piggie.
...aaand that goes as rulez :) well that's ok too, it's nice enough :)
Before saimo asks for naivism; you did for once (cant remember in other demos) include freemasons in this, which counts as big plus. So the creator knows at least something. Along with other things like central banks (but not BIS?) were included iirc, but they are all among the same deal.
So thumb up is justified after all for it not being just another rant against imaginary "nazis". But still the whole thing comes out as quite naive. IMHO.

pinball graphics, I like the term.. very cool demo, great soundtrack, sad and heavy.. but maybe we need it.
Just watched it again and I have to say it really is a great tour de force of naïve teenage ramblings about saving the world, which severely diminishes my enjoyment of the good aspects of the demo.
A bit of politician-, bank- and megacorp bashing, as if that's not already done on a daily basis since at least a century back. Something about being nice to nature and by the way religion and propaganda is bad but here's a picture of Jesus, our lord and savior, apparently a key player in human progress. All of it a fine and reliably predictable concoction of simplistic truisms and falsehoods, sometimes internally contradictory. Oh and also a jab at Freemasons for no apparent reason, because of course things wouldn't be complete without some tinfoil-hatted conspiracy mongering.
The Cure, then, begins as a list of UN's basic human rights and proceeds, equally predictably, to escalate into some wet dream about global communism, with a call for redistributing and limiting personal wealth on a massive scale. Presumably this should somehow be achieved without using force, because War Is Bad, yo.
The demo is technically and aesthetically nice. Some scrollers and transitions are very good (and innovative), as is the music (even though the voice sample should probably have been left out - I think it sounds corny, which was probably not the intention).
The message, such as it its, is at times not displayed long enough on the screen, which is odd considering the purpose of the demo. I had to watch a youtube recording to be able to pause it.
Then again, perhaps that's deliberate: the texts that flicker past the fastest are the ones calling for global communism. They are promptly followed by lingering on a statement about "being nice to each other", as if someone would disagree with that.
Anyway, keep on making demos. I'd love to see your creative approach to a different subject matter.

different
and great
and great
Very nice! I agree that the message is very placative, but nevertheless I enjoy the whole package and agree with the message overall
OK.
Great work, love the rendering style and that you speak your mind. Also that it's not just complaining - but has a call to action - is a really good ending.
For me it's too many topics for the length of the Demo though. Especially the Corona part breaks the context you were building, i.e. awareness of the system that has been established and optimized by the upper class.
Leave some out or splitting this Demo in multiple pieces would have helped reinforce focus. They are somewhat connected yes, but as it is there are just too many complex problems which you only touch superficially in a very short amount of time.
Please accept this as constructive criticism and don't let any whiners stop you from doing another Demo about the exact same topics.

Brilliant! I love the passion.
Great tune, love the style, quite original.. this is a proper demo. Carving your own creation, not sucking on the teat of other group's creations. Bravo.

So atmospheric and fresh. Thanks!
killer!

This is a very nice demo from an artistic perspective, although the text is hard to read at times. While I do mostly agree with the political statements made in this demo, you are tackling some very complicated issues and the proposed solutions are not complete.
lots of cool stuff here, well done!
very good
@saimo: It saddens me to read that but I am not surprised that something like this can happen on YouTube. As you say, your demo does not promote anything bad but that does not mean that the demo cannot in some twisted way offend the sacred ideas of some individual confused by the inexorable certainty of his/her own moral rectitude. It usually happens when ideas related to philosophy, politics or religion are discussed, even with the relative naivety as your demo show them. And YouTube, like a new Pontius Pilate, washes its hands with these coercive mechanisms.
I hope this does not negatively affect your desire to continue making more demos that address these "sensitive" issues.

@saimo: Good to know. Anyway, lately I just tend to mark as "mature content" all my demoscene stuff when I put it on YouTube. Just to be safe, of course.
And make what you want, demos or games, as long as you have fun doing it! :]

Internet censorship sucks. Though I guess it's a pipe dream for the scene to move to peertube or something similar.
nice work, love true chiptunes but the song was right for the content
What eladamri said!
Very nice and unexpected presentation. The pixel transformations are great, esp. those scrolling pictures over the thematically related distortion fields.
Amazing demo!
!!! WoW !!! crazy freaky cool shit never seen before on my miggies that can be run nicely even on 030...bravo well done man
Thanks for the update.
Oops, a demo with a serious content and a message.
saimo, thanks a lot for your thoughts and their creative expression.
Usually, I am avoiding to watch "AGAs" since I am a child of the
A500 era, but for some reason, I guess it was because of the
comments and the title (cure is a good thing), I clicked that one and
I do not regret it. Nice effects and a very own style and mood. The
music fits very well. I like the drums and the guitar, though there are
too many notes, at least for my taste, that are played without bends,
slides or pull offs. Anyway, a captivating show and it is for sure not
the last time I have watched and listened to it.
P.S.: For fans of complex, modern and jaw dropping guitar music:
-> check out G.O.A.T. / Polyphia

I'm happy to use my 68030 + fast ram once time, ok this demo needs an high memory requirement unlike other classic demos, but the song is in best quality and in stereo, on real five minutes.
I'm specially appreciate lot of effects, synchronisation, a real artist working, thanks for your efforts.
i hope see your later.

I really like the original style, it was refreshing, and theme delivering the message. Growing a bit jaded and skeptical with age perhaps, so not sure if love is all you need, but it's definitely in the right direction.
Wow!
