Nice crack but the intro doesn't work for me (yes, I know, open borders and all that...), it just feels "wrong" as we are all used to the original intro by Woodo.

Music reminds me of Druid II: Enlightenment. Is David Hanlon part of FLT?

Rip from old trainer of 1989, done by fairlight but done by others.

For the crack.

R0XX0R, music doesn't remind it, it is it. And Hanlon isn't part of FLT, this tune was used in this intro since 1987.

Black Dragon, it's ok for the group to recycle their intros (and done million times too...) plus that Amiga version is itself a "rip" from original c64 one.

It's naturally the old woodo intro, but cracking Alternate Reality I wanted it special and took the space ship from the game's intro and replaced the green bar. In order to fit, I had to open the border (upper and lower) and also remove one row of text as the spaceship need to be clear of all graphics when the priority is changed. Trashed worked a lot on it to make it fully stable and also in the process made it NTSC safe.

You might want to take a ride to a certain shop... The Amiga intro you linked to was done MUCH MUCH later than the original C64 version.

This still flabbergasted that not everyone knows the original intro. It was coded by Woodo and first used in 1987 and have been used in dozens of our releases.

There have been remakes on other platforms, but this is the original.

Based on this we have done versions. A few years back we did one with full border scroll and now we made a version containing graphical elements of the game we cracked.

Dave is not a member of the group. In 1987 people didn't have their own musicians so we used ripped music. And this one indeed use the music from Druid II. It's a supercompact piece of code and hence very suitable for the purpose.

Thumbs up for NTSC fixing a classic.
