Honestly I feel like the text does not add anything meaningful, and in fact detracts from the demo (which is otherwise very well-done), thanks in particular to that whimsical diamond after "DESIRE"—what was it for, symmetry? I'd rather see these bytes invested in something that contributes to the ominous atmosphere which is the demo's strongest point.

@moozoh, when i tested putting "DESIRE" at the start of the code to save bytes (yes, the string is actually executed :D ), the ♦ appeared and i realized that it is the first "add" command. Accidently the perfect symbol for the whole effect, so left it in :) The symmetry is enforced with a leading zerobyte, that also converts the string to code which is not harmful for the rest ;) After crunching down the code for dosbox, i ran out of time to fill the space with something deeper, so i went for the logo.
I don't know if the highres really adds that much detail with the choice of texture but otherwise it looks pretty slick

@Harekiet, since dragon fade and autumn i try to make hires shine, sometimes with decent success, sometimes not. Infinity Halls works well when you sit close in front of your monitor, sharp lines, fine grained textures (not the XOR :D the other which is maybe too subtle), but maybe not on the big screen. Youtube, oh well. I will continue to justify the sacrifice of speed and space to make HiRes shine. I simply have to =)

Kinda the same comment as on the starfield thing... the audio feels superfluous and I'm not getting much of a mood form the visuals. I like this better than the 3rd place tho =)
@noby, come on, try any other 3D hi res intro on DOSBOX and see if it's *that* fluent (hint: no). plus the audio (which you're free to dislike) is a cool step into the right direction: custom synth with reverb and overdrive. if you're suggesting tiny dos intros should stay low res black white classic fx with no sound, my answer is : no =)
