Fucking great! Some parts remind me of parts from the sketch show 'Jam'. Are you guys UK based?

too much fog and very slow motions... but the whole prod still rulez, nice concept

boring and too much fog. Also, not anything new since it's still demopaja.

Nice try to create an atmosphere like in some serial killer movie, but mostly fails. The scenes are mostly just *to dark* and there happens not really very much.

Pete: We are uk based and someone else asked me the same question when we were making it. I have never seen Jam, but I'll keep any eye out for it.

We took ideas from lots of things though Lithis guessed our main source. :)

But well, thanks everyone for the fair feedback. :)

i like this one partly. Especially the beginning is very kewl, good design, good atmosphere.
Yet, the 'music' sucks total ass and the 3d is quite minimalistic and boring.

Nevertheless, it reminded me a bit of tripfish2, but without the vivid colors :P

so, a piggie *oink*
zooming into JPEG artifacts, poor colors, poor soundtrack, poor 3D, poor pacing...
it had its moments tho (I liked when the bedroom morphed)

I kept waiting for something to happen, for it to speed up, something... come on... throw us a bone. blah

This prod has a special atmosphere, and changes a lot comparing to the recents demos, with blured/alphablended scenes and goa.
Maybe a little boring and slow in some scenes, but nice try anyway :)

I found this production chilling, a definate movie-like atmosphere. The story line was good, it had meaning. It shows intelligence in the way which it did'nt have to have amazing effects as the design, the soundtrack the OVERALL FEEL of this production was good and 'Fearmoths' will surely have greater things to come!! i'm sure!! a big thumbs up from me :)

this is actually rather nice. good work. could have worked a bit more on the scenes and textures and overall brightness though.

The story was good, but the setup could be done better. Maybe the killer should be revealed at the end. It reminds me of this

This is the first Fearmoths demo I`ve enjoyed watching. Moreover, it`s one of the first PC demos I`ve seen with something more than just boring effect after boring effect without any thought linking them together. The music and graphics blend well to make quite a spooky/evil production.

I never thought I`d like ANYTHING from Fearmoths, but this has converted me totally. I hope to see more stuff like this for you.

Another huge leap forward! Nothing technically impressive (but then not many demos of today are), but it’s so nice to see a demo based on creative ideas. The music was very effective in my opinion, the way it all flowed as one complete and incidental soundtrack. As Lithis already hinted, there was a definite David Lynch influence here, which appealed to me in a big way.

It seems ironic considering the group behind it, but this, and their last slideshow, have a sense of maturity that’s pretty rare in the scene of today.

Oh yeah. Thanks for the link, FiRE! Any more demos like this?

Thanks for the emotions! In a room at 02:15 with the lights off, this created "a moment".
Same ting with your slideshow. I think fearmoth is finding their own set of legs to stand on atm. and i definately dig it.

Wade> Try http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=7606 The style is the same but in my opinion it is not as good as Moments.

I have to watch this thing! The screenshot already looks promising. I might get a GeForce from ebay.de soon, to watch accelerated demos at home. Currently, I am sitting with a Pentium2 at 233Mhz and without acceleration card that I got for 80 Euros, just to have something at home for demowatching and coding :)

Just in case you need a bit of help piecing together the plot behind this demo, we've written a few clues:

The most revealing clue is in the title of the demo.
The second clue can be seen in the background of the caller. Where is he calling from?
Why do we only see the right side of the caller’s face?
Who answers the phone and why does he ask “Don’t you recognise me?”
When the caller starts walking around the bedroom, what’s behind him?
What do the newspaper headlines say?
Another important things to remember is that the plot is told from only one person’s perspective.

quite nice. textures and 3dgfx definitly need more work to it, but the 2d overlays were very good.

hehe :) reminds me of Fight Club a bit :)

Overall it's not a bad demo. It's a great plot and the design is sweet, but next time set up the lighting better, the scenes looked a bit flat...
The direction is nice, but there are WAY too long dead moments, the demo itself could have been at least 2 minutes shorter because of the gaps, but i loved the fucked-up cut-pictures.
(The prolly most funny thing was the "Fearmoths" banner appearing, it was sooo out of the theme :)

It's a sweet demo overall, but as troll said, "throw us the bone", add some action, or sg... For just the atmosphere, you need much more things.

I like the visuals but next time get some flow into it.. too slow tempo though so next time don't leave scenes on the screen until boredom strikes

piece of shit.

shows potential but is somehow ruined by the rather 'demopajaish' text-movements (too linear etc) and below average (for this kind of a production) 3d. Still a pig for trying to create a lynch-like atmosphere and not completely failing in doing so...

ooooh, who's acting like the petty 11year old now? :)
Wow! It DID scared me. Perhaps because I was afraid of what it comes next, perhaps because it really did it well. Reminded me of one David Lynch movie. Great! I am happy that it finished. I am going to watch other scary stuff now..

What Gargaj said, only without a thumb.
Next time, use a more modern mobile phone than a Phillips Savey. ;)
Fantastic. Combine a good tool with a great movie and get a sucky prod. that required a real lack of talent.

And no, I didn't see it all since my machine totally collapsed (froze) somewhere during the bed scene. Superb!

cheap cheap cheap cheap david lynch rip-off.
just shows how low some people's threshold is for thinking a demo has some originality.

shane's statements about the fearmoths trying to "raise the bar" in the scene and that their stuff would be "over most people's heads" adds an extra layer of irony to the whole thing.

thumbs up shane!

Gargaj said it best..

Kickass opening and end credits, the music was great, cool atmos but too ambitious idea for Fearmoths I think.
