Cool demo, many parts, seems like it has the same CRTC as CPC, so I could guess there screen/line splitting effects :)

Never heard of a bbc master but instant love due to the mad max tune. I instantly recognized it as Jochen sound.

Amazing! Wish I'd been there to see it at the party!

The clear winner at the party.

What a nice surprise! The pacing felt a bit rushed in places, and some other minor details could've been improved, but the lovely rendition of Mad Max's tune more than made up for that. Really a great demo!

Deserved Winner!
Liked it all the way through!
Felt like Amiga500+SpectrumZX=Love!
Tune rocks aswell, eventhough it´s just a conversion, but fitted perfectly!

Holy cow. Amazing for the beeb!

Never seen a beeb do anything like this before. The tune sounds great despite the PSG being clocked too fast for bass, everything seems to run at 50Hz, the parallax effects and plasmas towards the end look lush.

First Prince of Persia, now this. We are truly blessed.

This was good, or even excellent!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone; I wanted to prove that the venerable 8-bit BBC Micro (in its Master 128 variant at least) could produce many classic demo effects at 50Hz when suitably coaxed, even with the terrible 3-bit colour palette and mediocre sound chip!

It does share the same 6845 CRTC video chip at the CPC, so I was inspired by many of the recent prods coming out of that community. It was a lot of fun to make and there is a big write up about the effects in a post on the Acorn / BBC community forum here.

Nice one, too
