Well, what can I say except THIS RULES SO HARD THAT IT EVEN HURTS. :D
looks good, event though i believe a few scenes are broken on my GTX980
Damn, that's some great music indeed!
Intense. Just a few years ago this would pass for a good 64k intro.
This makes me very very scared... scared what you could pull of in 64kb :)
jawdropper! congraatzzzzz

Oh yes. So much content, awesome direction, amazing visuals & sound. I still can not believe how talented you are :)
Any chance for a video rip? ;)

Incredible work by Alcatraz and their newest member LJ!
(heh)

Absolutely amazing! At this point I can easily call LJ the master of space-folded geometry. The geometry (it's composing actual things, like gears and human-like faces!), the camerawork, the lighting, and the materials are just all perfect. Not to mention the music, which is basically screaming "Yes, this looks incredible and we damn well know it.".
Aside the great visuals, i cannot stress enough how much i love the instrument design. This again is another example of how much you can push out of 4klang and i would dare to call it a masterful work.
And seeing that 4kb is enough to have both munched together makes this nothing but incredible.

A masterpiece.
!!!!!!
awesome!
unbelievable, this is simply great.
Really awesome!
Just missing the skull at the end for being a Cocoon demo. ;)
outstanding
Jesus, this is hella impressive!
brilliant!
Really well done!
Both, video & audio, are not only awesome but also fits together perfectly.
The sound really makes it stand out as it sounds completely different than any other 4k.

Just blown away by this 4k prod. For me it's the best prod of all 2017. Faraday Future raised the bar for 4k to a complete new level. This one is going to be hard to beat. Awesome work LJ, xTr1m, Virgill and gopher. Looking forward to your next prod.
oO
Really nice prod. :)
Still, after reading all these comments I may have set my expectations a bit too high, because whole time while watching I was waiting for something really big too happen with all the tension built, but nothing like that happened. But that's just it. Overall it's still a great prod. :)

Hm, as nobody else seems to have realized, let me just leave the word "Halloween" here. :)
Apart from that minor nuisance this is pretty much almost perfect. I can just concur with all the praise the instrument design and especially the geometry got so far - seriously impressive. The only thing that keeps it from my personal "4k of the year" category is that I find the colours a bit too monotonous. But that comes with the setting. :)

Super nice.
♥
would have been awesome with 20mb. but 4k? not only good looking but also a great soundtrack and atmosphere. i think the density of quality is as thick as the fog ;) fantastic work, guys!
One of the Evoke highlights for me and a great ending to the party. Everything fits together naturally and with a tight sync. The air horns and the faces make it stand apart.
Fantastic of course, clear winner of the compo :). The way you succeed in size limited categories, especially 4k, is by designing the tech and content together around the limitations. Compromises are the thing that generally most stand out to people negatively, and this is a prime example on how to hide and minimize them. Again, there are things that maybe could be better, but honestly nothing here strictly needs to be, it's all in an optimal balance.
And it's not just "impressive for the size" or whatever, but genuinely interesting regardless of any limitations. There's some exceptional camerawork here, especially with the zooming which is notoriously difficult to pull off in the first place. The way you disorient the viewer and frame those ominous faces is just perfect. I don't think I even wanna say anything about the music; Virgill is a king. The final version of your Revision entry was maybe still slightly more to my liking, but this easily in the same league.. just scary.
Now I just want to see some other distance function next :)

ugly music and depressing visuals - teenage angst forever! ;)
Oh my, this is a good one. Very confident camerawork that reminded me of kasparov in places. Geometrical complexity is probably state of the art for 4k, if only because it looks and feels meaningful and in place rather than complex for the sake of visual complexity. Music is absolutely fitting the atmosphere and even good on its own. As good as some of the other entries were, there was no competition for this at all.
This rules on so many levels. The lightning, the soundtrack, the suspension. Solid on all levels. Yeah!
great visuals, exceptional sounding 4k-instruments.
the only thing i don't like is the chord progression (kills the mood a little bit).

YES.
This is awesome! - I'm not worthy... :)

This is MEAN!

What @noby said.
Running this on a GTX1070 I'm not getting acceptable framerates. Can that be correct?
It's extremely impressive both visually and aurally, but that's just not cool.

very cool, very nice direction, was just hoping for some kind of explosion or something in the end ;-)
the style is not really my cup of tea
but HOLY FUCKING SHIT
but HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Quite mindblowing visuals and sound! I love the gas effects

Great to see you were able to release this, it really shines and is far ahead of the competition. Big ups to LJ, Virgill and the others for getting this done in time!
To be fair this probably does require a 1080 (Ti) to be enjoyed at decent framerates in 1080p. I get between 10 and 25fps with my 1060 on 720p so I wouldnt be surprised if a 1070 has similar results with full HD.
The size and complexity of the scenes just comes at the cost of performance, you cant have everything so thats not "bad coding" in my book but just pushing the technology. If Demoparties advertise big gfx hardware in their compo specs it should come as no surprise if it is targeted and as much as I like options to downscale the postproc/complexity/resolution to make it run smooth on weaker hw I know thats not always possible without breaking the whole approach or sizelimit.

Not sure about the drab colors, but everything else seems fine.
Fantastic. LJ and Virgil seem unstoppable.
what hoffman said. AMAZING.
I was like, what will happen. After all it was just a camera.
Weaky piggy.
Weaky piggy.
color me impressed
It really kick ass!!
❤️❤️❤️...and that soundtrack
This is amazing on so many levels. And I also want to know the story of those faces geometry.
too much geometry in 4096 bytes ? this achievement is simply magical...
<3
I sat in the crowd, watched this and got some goosebumps very early in already...something only very few demos ever achieved with me! ;)
When the compo was over i RAN outside and jumped around like a little girl...the hormones in my brain where having a party aswell! ;) That lasted 20 minutes+ ...not because of my prod on the bigscreen but because of this prod...my love to the scene and especially 4Ks was given what it asked for...i love how far we got with those 4096 bytes by now...while LJ is on top of the game right now for sure, he´s like a magician, keeps dropping splendid visuals everywhere he releases! :D
I really hope you don´t stop pushing all of us others trying to catch up nowadays! ;)
Keep rocking, LJ!
Virgill once again managed to make sound in 4klang that is brilliant, fitting all the way perfectly, much love to you aswell!
Also thanks to gopher, pOWL and xTrim of course, love to have you three, so we can have these splendid 4Ks nowadays!
♥ CDC incoming, just need like 3k more glöps, which would take some years, so imma free one up somehow i guess! ;)
acceptable framerate:
To me the rule is: 30fps+ at all times on the compo-machine is the limit, NEVER go below! 720p that is!

Fantastic 4k. Loved the "machine" looking fractal early on.
Great 4K !!
I just don't even. Amazing <3
Not bad. :)
totally awesome... feels very well composed overall, the soundtrack complements the visuals and vice versa .. I felt entertained, which isn't that often the case in a 4k intro =)
it feels designed rather than just random "let's see what this effect can do"

LJ the man. he also sweeped the outside area for hours after the party, so double upvote ;)
da phuk.. absolutely gorgeous stuff. waaaay to iconic :D
Unbelievable geometry!
So wickedly awesome on so many levels that I nearly forgot my thumb...so late thumb is late...but its there ;)
Fantastic! Looks awesome and the music fits perfectly. Awesome work!
wow
Yeah!
Wow! I'm amazed.
Fitting this in 4k doesn't seem possible, but they did the impossible. Great music, great gfx and scenario. Wow !
cool production ... i love it ;)
reminds of some carpenter tune
exceptionally nice, great strings for 4k, and that last scene is masterful.
U R can! :)
!
nice
Great!
Great tension, and a special thumb for the faces.
Nice atmosphere and tension.
wow

On the music: Absolutely gorgeous! The drums/percussion made me smile throughout the screening of it. Wonderful progression and as usual, incredible instrument design.
Everything is just so coherent and well thought out. I'd be surprised to see better 4k intros than this at any party in 2017.
