I fucking loved this!
I had my fingers on almost all the Notemakers, Intromakers, Demomakers there were back then...bought all the Disks i could find from every PD-Distributor i found! But only this one delivered what i was looking for! (Been too young to code...altho i had coded some stuff in BASIC already i didn´t get into assembler until years later! And coding Demos in Basic was simply slow and lame, so i didn´t bother!
It had a super-nice remake of the classic Triad-Cracktro named "Ode to Triad" on the Disk, made with this Demomaker ofcoz!
It had Timex-Copy-Protection...so this never got cracked afaik! :D That´s why there´s no download either here nor at CSDB. ;)
It was that good (and expensive atleast for a kid -> 25DM) that a "friend" of mine stole the disk not short after i finally bought it! (after slaughtering my piggybank after some months of saving money towards it! GRRR!) I kept wondering where this Disk went and never found it, altho searched for it many many times. I found it by accident when i visited said "friend" 2-3 years later. When he went to the toilet i crawled his diskboxes, looking for stuff i didn´t know yet...and then there was that disk that was painted in several colors, the whole front-side...i wondered why he did that to this disk...turning it around revealed my name on the backside, written with a black edding on a black disk...hard to see, he never did as it seems. I quickly grabbed the disk and put it in my jacket and left him soonish. At home i found out why he painted it...it was this Disk with the Demomaker and it originally had it written on front ofcoz! Too bad i was more into coding on Amiga in Assembler already by then, instead of using Demomakers for Fun-prods i never released but only linked one after another until i had a megademo i only showed to local friends because of the lameness of using makers! On a second visit i found like 40-50 more disks...i had confronted him with his theft...and having had written my name on all my disks made me easily show him what was mine and what he stole and what i would take back with me...i even grabbed some Extra-Disks (about 50) and told him to just shut up when he said sth like "but those aren´t yours!" and added else i would tell his parents about his theft! I even took his GEOS-Disks, hahaha! :D

The Timex protection is definitely NOT the reason for that!

Well, i kept wondering why every other Timex-Prod got cracked already, just not this. But i was wrong anyway, since i last checked some years ago, Playboy cracked it!
I will change the downloadlink now, as there´s none at all, but not to the Playboy-Release but the one with the original disk-image intact. It even runs, so must be cracked aswell i think!

To run the "Ode to Triad" run the Intromaker, choose the upperst menu-entry two times, then enter "ODE TO TRIAD" followed by the RETURN-Key (Enter) , let it load, choose the 2nd menu-entry from the bottom to get back into the first menu, then choose the menu-entry at the bottom! (It´s all in german!)
The Triad-Cracktro isn´t as shiny and kewl as i remembered it, though! But i had seen it the last time like 25 years ago, so...
Thumb for Hardy's story!
