damn that piano sound should last longer. visuals are ... well, no killer, mainly because of the coder colors. i guess a piggie is fair. would have been a thumbs up with better design (or blank screen and more advanced tune ^^)

Starchaser: I think the piano in Whitespace is custom-synthesized, but in this 1k it's from the sample based Microsoft/Roland General MIDI engine that's been bundled with Windows since around stone age. With the Microsoft General MIDI thing, all it takes is midiOutOpen() and midiOutShortMsg() to produce sound. The downside is, it will sound like 1995 General MIDI.

Nice one, oo. I wish the whole show would have ended soon after the piano did, though.. it got a bit boring towards the last seconds.. happens easily, of course.. been there, done that ;)

Thanks qma! Yeah, I agree: it was supposed to end at the very point you describe; however, I was not there when they captured it.
Last time I did the "ending" by coding, but it took too many bits and the whole intro ended too soon (Painthing, only 10 secs :), so I skipped it this time...
