Allocates a few gigs of ram until the tab crashes. Chrome 46, win7, AMD R9.

Absolutely loving the midschool Warp Records vibe in both audio and visuals, my only criticism would be
1. Some parts take a bit too long, I could've probably cut a minute or so and make it more punchy.
2. Arial - there are so much nicer fonts available stock in the systems nowadays.
3. A bit biggie for the content? 9k is a bit odd, but it was a combined compo so I understand if it wasn't really of concern.

It takes a lot of memory to buffer of music, so I also experienced tabcrash on MBP13 when develop. apologize ;_;

noby: I got a warning when I ran it, but I just told it to wait for it to generate, and then it worked fine.

Ahhhh got it working... and it's SO GOOD. The camerawork is top notch here too, the visuals are super stylish and perfectly executed and the music is near perfect. I agree with gargaj's point on the font, but I don't think it jotted out badly in this case. Also the aliasing is fairly potent, but there are workarounds for that. In any case, the first entry to my recommendation list for this year!

Works on: Chrome 48, Opera 35 (which is a chrome clone)

Partially works on: Marathon 4.9.1 (sound only, garbage video)

Does not work on: Internet Explorer 11, Slimbrowser 7.00.138, Waterfox 43.0.3, Firefox 44.0.2, Tor 5.5.2, Edge 20 and Safari 5.1.7 (Just a "wait" sign, but noting happen even after several minutes)

So this more specifically a Chrome demo than a Javascript demo that could/should work on most/any web browser. That being said, this is a great demo for the size. Love the "Tron" style and the "glitch in the matrix!" effect. A little short, too repetitive, single camera path and the sound track is getting on my nerves a bit in the end. So piggy it is.

Good attempt to create something different. The music is also interesting. Unfortunately!
As it starts quite awesome and sets the right mood, it quickly turns into one big "greetings" scene that is prolonged for the whole intro, why, oh, why?! Maybe it's just me, but I personally not a big fan of this demoscene tradition (at least when overused, and it's not the first time I see this).

not working on firefox, worked on chrome with some weird aliasing on the lines. the music and the glitch syncs was nice. not really going anywhere though.

Couldn't get this to run locally, is there an online or video version ?
added on the 2016-02-22 03:54:28 by sohx1 sohx1
Mostly what tomkh said. And also what Drift said. I spot an "own" JS packer in the code. From the first view it looks downright further compressable. Did you give RegPack a try? Maybe 8K is possible ;)

For a reason or another, this doesn't run properly on Firefox 44. Video?
added on the 2016-02-22 10:42:34 by Trilkk Trilkk
There is something good there, but there too little content for 9kb really.

Looking forward to more!

HellMood: Nah, it's not a custom packer. It's the ole Packer from Dean Edwards from 2007-2010. More recent JS packers are better. And 8kb should be no problem using PNG bootstrapping here. Heck, I'm sure this could go down to 4kb or less, but that's not the point here.

p01: I combined my own minifier and /packer/. If I have more time or already know some demo-oriented packer, I might be able to make it 8k or 4k... Anyway, I am going to try it on this demo later!

Great & interesting stuff, but what Gargaj said.

I still prefer this than you 2017 prod, it's more "focused", and quite close to a really memorable prod imho.

Looking forward the next ones \o/
