it feels a bit like an überlong 4k from around 2010ish, but the flow, design and music are just so nice and fitting that it doesnt get boring to watch.

Thanks for the feedback on the music I didn't realise it was clipping that badly. I mostly made it late at night with the sound very low and I kinda still don't know what I am doing with 4klang. Anyway I mixed it again now and lowered the instruments gain and global gain hopefully sounds a bit better, the download has been updated.

Cool style, nice vibe! I like it :) The motion is a bit strange in a way though, as basically everything feels like it's moving too frantically for the chill music. But overall this is super nice!

Took me a while to come up with a comment. This is pretty excellent. The rendering is top notch and the geometry is good enough too. The subsurface scattering on the water looks great, but should perhaps be even a bit stronger, especially on the ocean.
I'm not too keen on the colors though. Even though I can't say it's exactly ugly, I don't think shoving all possible hues at once on screen (or even in the same scene) is a good design decision. The post processing is also in my opinion a tad overdone. I think PP should be be almost unnoticable, subconscious even, and not an effect in and of itself.
The basic idea of the music is very well excecuted, one of the most on point dub tracks in any demo. The drum sounds still sound like cheap 4klang presets though, but the track is good enough that I don't think about it too much :).
This might be "simple" overall, but a really good example of how much good flow and musical synergy matters whatever you're doing. The seamless transitions in the latter half are sublime.

Yes. Really nice music - visual tends to get a bit boring towards the end though, but over all, this is really a nice ray marching demo in 32kb :)
Noby: Hope this doesn't sound too weird but I just want to say how much I appreciate such a detailed and honest feedback. I find it very hard to evaluate my own work and when I show it to friends they just say it is good (maybe being polite, maybe just don't care enough to look at it critically). I have been trying hard to improve my work and this sort of comment really helps. It's funny because the credits scene was completely monochrome until I made an accidental bug with the light colour and I thought it looked cool! I already told you how much your assembly 4k inspired me and the music I made is a homage in a way so I am glad you liked the vibe of it even if it wasn't executed so well technically.

I don't like all the colors, but apart from that this is absolutely awesome! Very nice transitions, the visuals and music work very well together, and altogether it's just mesmerizing.

I don't really have anything to add to nobys comment. I'd say he nailed it. Maybe and just maybe the track could've been a bit more up beat, since the visuals give me more of a upbeat feeling.

The clipping in the music comes probably from a very low sub bass at 10Hz or so, which pushes the waveforms against the limits up and down and clips them there.

fucking hell!!! i'm totally blown away. excellent direction! for example the guts it takes to put such a fast tunnel on such a slow tune, and make it work totally blows my mind.
