Simple game with nice graphics and good music. The code needs some serious fixes though, the system-check at the beginning spits out completely wrong results and except for a plain 68020 machine I couldn't get it to run anywhere. Final version is definitely needed!
Nice little game!
I have tried this on my 1MB Chip A500 and it crashes right after the introduction screen!
Ugh, didn't want to thumb it up, seems it's your lucky day.
NIce stuff, worked on my A500 with 2MB Chip and kick 2.05.
Very nicel, but the Jaguar game Downfall has a much better playability IMO.

Why 1MB of Chip Ram ? Just because I like the way to distribute my software embedded in 1 executable.
What has the requirement of 1MB of Chip Ram got to do with delivering your software in one executable? :D
Game itself looks rather mediocre. So no thumb in either direction.
Looks good, but doesn't play as well. Too slow, gets boring...
@gibs: haha, that didn't answer my question, but whatever
Just tested on my A1200 with Blizzard 1260/50 64MB. The game works like charm. There's just one snag. How do you exit the game? ;)
@gibs: you're funny :)
From the one YT clip:
You could have used "Fake Fast" Ram (public memory, that is) to store graphics in there and copy them to a chipmem buffer if blitting would've been necessary or if it's just loading a static picture, one can just copy it with the CPU.

If you have 512k and 512k of Slow Ram it won't work

@britelite, Nothing, but I prefer to distribute that way... and you ? have you release something on ECS (without 2MB of chip ram, cpu cache & aga) or are you still coding demos effects on a BLACK background that everybody has seen 20 years ago ? glad that you finally put your thumb in your smart fat hole.
haha, do you even know who britelite is?
nice presentation but boring gameplay so you get a piggy from me.
ill test it on my a600 with 1mb expansion, tho.

oh i accidentally the thumb =)
self thumb'up, insults, the game looks average and repetitive.
Nice prod, especially the music remake
What said wysiwtf. But cute work anyway. A pity it's not for a stock A500 (almost )
@gibs: ok, I wasn't talking about the graphics, but of the game as a whole. The visuals are actually ok, even if I think it'd be better not to rip off donkey kong. But I've seen prettier games 20 years ago ;)
As for you not liking my demos, that's ok too, not everyone's a fan :)

I'm in Amiga since 1988
Really? Funny, after reading your posts here I had figured you for much, much younger...
The game itself looks rather mediocre indeed, so piggy it is.
Geez... this is becoming quite an issue. As for me, I really like the game. Nice drawn graphics and a good tune... Ofcourse, game-idea is rather simple but still it doesn't look like it's been rushed together. Certainly thumb up!
@gibs: I have not critized you personally at any point, I've just commented on this particular game. You really should learn the difference.
Britelite: resistance is futile.. ;)
Gibs: please give birth to more games, intro's and whatever you do more! Keep em coming!

cool tune, gfx, nostalgic fonts - felt some nostalgia
even if gameplay does not look that interesting thumbs up for the amiga feeling

Thumbs up for Amiga game, but no thumbs for Donkey Kong sprite (that's not the Amiga way).
@gibs: do not take the remarks too personally. Have a distance. You were working on it and have a different point of view, that's obvious...
Take it as easy, as you can.
Nice game..
Althou I have some small remarks...:
1. Would have use different ingame fonts. Would be nicer to have 16x16 somkinda oval, cartoonish ones..
2. The same for intro. Those 8x8 looks too... (sorry dudes) Atarish ;),
3. Woild be nice to see the background moving too, even a little bit. To give the game more going-down impression.
Once again: good stuff.

I confirm that it works on my a600+1MB
my comment still stands, tho

Yes Britelite (& others), your demos are boring
Why a pouët account then? And bashing britelite seems odd!

Deluxe Galaga (oh shit it's a rip off) Deluxe Pacman (oh shitt again)... So do you have some good home-brew games in mind ?
How original, yours is a nicer but less interesting version of Man Goes Down (2004) or Downfall...
Thumb for attitude!
Well according to you, britelite has already done something outstanding at least 4 times. ;) a thumb up for that! =)
Oh man, that was bad and painful.
@gibs: ok, for me mediocre and average are pretty much the same thing, so you can mentally change my use of the word mediocre to average if that makes you feel better.
and seriously, grow up
and seriously, grow up
Personally.... do not know what to think (I know, I can think whatever I want)...
I think noone has a thumb-up/down only attitude. It is only a way of voting, sure, not too flexible, but still.
It also helps to see other ppl's point of view, when our is taken by devotion to a product. And here (I mean on this portal) as well, ppl are different, have a different point of view. But hey, they are not agressive, afa I'm concerned, until you say sth quite offensive. And also understand in that way...
Communication, and respect is the best way to understand each other. Here too, even this is only a "scene" portal... or is thought to be one...
Peace.

Nice game (the first I test under e-uae :) ) ! Thank you Gibs !
cute game with potenzial
Nice game, is good to have new games on our A500.
Don't know why people complaining. If you feel that can be done better, do it and show that you are cool to.

Nice :)
Decent!
Skipping the popcorn ztravaganza and voting a piggie for basically the gfx that are cute and neat, and the music is definitely better this time :)
But the game consists of reading the joystick and collision detection. Sure, a few frames of animation, increasing a score counter and playing sounds. But that's the start of a game, not a game. Why not build on this and make it a full game? :)
Cos now it's walk left, then right, then left, then right, level finished. Who will want to play that?? Think about collecting, avoiding, swinging from vines, I dunno... :)

@gibs: you forgot to downvote some prods in which i took part...
Had to log in just to give it a sucks (to add some gasoline to the whining fire!)
ok
submit changes
if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.
instead, click here !
(note: even that says that it will work on ocs/ecs, it crashes the same way it did on the stream/party - on plain 1200 it seems to work just fine)
