Music done by Miker/Blowjobb in Raster Music tracker
Picture converter with RastaConverter running 1 Week and done 290 Mio iterations.
4 lines of additional code done by me ;)

RastaConverter creates a display kernal with repositioning overlay sprites, inline color changes plus color changes per line.

it was an old dream of mine to recreate stuff... unfortunatly this time no animation yet but who knows in the future ;)
ah, forgot... approx. 53 different colors... ;)

Not bad, rather not enough for pouet.net :P

I still prefer this one...

compensating a lot of the 8bit resolution issues in sound and leaves a real possiblitiy for animated waterdrops...

I got your screen, too. Till not know if it works with the drops. Would need the raindrops for gr.9.... Do you have animation converted, too?
Well... if now you add one of the thalion games as an 8bit conversion I will be impressed... for now it stays piggy :)

hehe.... I know guys... I know... next time I am implementing an scroller at least :D

Lotek... for you is the msx... ;) Wings of Death is on my list :D

@stsurvivor: You know you missed the point?

@Emkay : maybe I did but I just watched the video and really... There's nothing special about this... So it's a pig to me. Thank you for pointing it out :)
@stsurvivor: Have you realized this is NOT Atari ST? You should check the limits and timespan of the 8 bits ;)
added on the 2013-06-06 13:00:09 by emkay emkay
@Emkay :I don't mean to offend anyone but what limit is broken here with nothing but a still logo ? 53 colors ?
Oh by the way, it seems I was too fast, not sure I have seen the right video.

Video please ? :)
@stsurvivor: the point is that you tell you prefer an ST version, while we compare 8 bit versions. According to that , I'd prefer this one (the music:):

@Emkay : to speak the truth I confess I don't like much of the original ST sound... Mad Max ruled but at that time ST sound was soooo rude ! The video I linked above mixes both the fx and the msx in a most beautiful way :)

Yet I don't see what's so special about the 8 bit version of the intro... Logo and sound, then ??? Please dont let me be an idiot, just tell me :)
STS: You can see this as an enhanced screen mode (something like Spectrum 512 on the ST) and a nice cover of the song. It's a tech feat yet difficult to impress people with higher-end hardware.

Doesn't sound like the most efficient image converter on earth :p

Hope to see more.

I guess I wrote everything in my first post... I did not converted the intro in total but the pictures is IMHO nicely recreated by inline code, large color palette and a large display kernel... The music done by Miker was long time on my hard disc while Emkays picture is there, too.

I just wanted to release both together because I wanted it to do... So I do not expect much thumbs or pigs... You know sometimes you simply put code out because it has to be done ;)
Nice
