pretty slow on my notebook.
but some very good ideas and nice camera motion.
maybe the dolphin was a bit too cheesy ;)
definately one of the better 4ks this year so far

Nice, the camera paths are awesome! Nice music!
Can't say it is too good but enjoyable anyway. By the way: I wanted to render dolphin in one of my intros but refused this idea because it looks too bad without water splash (which is hard to make).
pretty massive. music reminds me of some SDS prods.
Runs ok on ATI so props, there is a weird diagonal tear across the screen though, like regular tearing but diagonal.
I dunno much about this shit but it looks like half of a plane is rendered in one frame and the other half in the next.
Cool dynamic heightmap on the sphere though.

Forgot thumb.
funny dolphin, but the rest (especially music) is really awesome! Reminds me a lot on Elevated :-)
thumb.. of course..
;)
very kool..
Great.
Liked the dolphin.
Liked the dolphin.
Dolphins!
Seems abit unpolished....but still rules.
Cant wait to see the C64 thing mentioned in the nfo ;)

Schweeet !
Whoever .kkaptures this also provide the soundtrack !

cool
Only the party version works, but it's reaaaaally slow and has that tearing and flickering insectecutor mentioned. The Final runs but the screen stays black the whole way. And yes this is on radeon 4850.
Video anyone ?
sad to see less blur (hello, elevated!) in the final but you improved the framerate at least. :) hope to see more cool things with your intro tool! (and the c64 demo of course!)
noby: i have a 4850 (two in xfire) and the final exe's run fine here. March 2010 drivers, Win7-64, latest DX runtime DLLs.

I like it!
WOW - nice work !!!
saw this yesterday at metoikos place. live video version tho. rocked :)
crash here :/ core-i7 + ATI FirePro M7740, Win7
Nice but the background is a bit .. "grey" :D
Great music and great dolphin scene (well, it lacks the water splash ;p).
The rest: ok.
The rest: ok.
couldn't run it on my gforce 7200 GS but it is cool
Very nice looking weird visuals, the hazy and scanlined grey look works well. Easily enough content for 4K. Didn't like the "demotrance" music, and the dolphin scene was indeed missing a water splash as well as friggin' lasers.
great tune and nice flow.
haha nice.
i didn't like the box-scene but i found the dolphin scene cute :-)
is the dark "border" set to cover up the rendering details of the landscape? :)

details = bugs
the "box-part" feels a little misplaced in this intro.
still a pleasure to watch
still a pleasure to watch
Excellent. Loved the music...and the boxes. That dolphin was so slick it wouldn't make no stinking splashes!
+music, tuna, flow

Cool 4k. The height map is very good looking. The dolphins made me laugh, they look inflatable :D
ION Traxx 0815: Inflatable Dolphins. ;)
Not bad though.
Not bad though.
some nice scenes for a quickie, the instrument patches were quite nice but i thought the sequencing/tracking sounded very messy, good fun to watch though :)
Definately worth a big thumb up !
I still think the music is quite too quick ...
But overall its really nice !

really nice 4k intro
nice, although it was a bit of a slideshow on mine - esp scenes with spheres (Ph2X3-720, ATI4850).
Does anyone know the cause of the uneven shading on the dolphin's fins? I'm getting the same thing with the shader I'm mucking around with.

Nicely done, music fits perfectly in my opinion :-)
Good job!
Good job!
Nice work, worked a treat on my ATI 4850.
"orcha.ogg" vs "dolphins!!1"
nice, liked the music a lot
Music and landscape were nice.
But that chrome-banana doesn't look like a dolphin.
But that chrome-banana doesn't look like a dolphin.
tristesse. did not appeal to me.
Loads of content and the sphere looks really good. No option but to thumb this up despite cubes :-). Good job Ferris
the theme looks like it's something to do with Green save the earth propaganda. which i don't like.
but apart from that, nice.
but apart from that, nice.
quality :)
great stuff. landscapes are forever! :)
Nice soundtrack, rest of it is average.
At least the tune is fast enough, reminds of 90's trance (the not-kiksu-crap). Nice planet, otherwise so-so.
Cool
Nice effects and transitions + cool tune!
Welcome to 2010, where everything in a 4k intro is computed via the noise function.
Good composition, lots of content, nice music.

I'm totally Plutoed.
The dolphin definitely needs more lasers than that
rulez
the code by decipher was by far the best
Hooray for the youth!
Very nice 4K, a lot of nice stuff happens on the screen, good job :)
The dolphin and the boxes didn't appeal to me, but the rest is quite solid. Also, quite some content for a quick 4k :)
Nothing special, but it is 4k with nice music -> deserves thumb.
i liked it until the cubes coming from the planet.
nice intro tho!
nice intro tho!
Aliasing sound.
the sphere is shitting cubes _upwards_!
Similar in design to "elevated", but soon after the snow melts :). So thumb up :).
Nice partytro.
Great prod! Didn't run here, only a white screen and an hourglas cursor with music.
nice
Good stuff!
Really cool landscape. No so cool dolphin. :)
@Ferris - cheers... your demo's inspired me to have another crack at the shader :)
nice
Crashes on an i7/ati4850/7-64
Liked it a lot, except for that dolphin that looked like a sausage.
those who are claiming it crashes on a 4850.. are you waiting long enough for it to load? it hangs a while but does eventually start on mine.
nice
Dang took forever to start (need a loader graph/timer or something so we know it is computing) and dang choppy at 1080p! My computer is officially outdated! :( Or maybe it is my ATI Radeon 4807 HD video card?
Good looking, slow.
@Ferris: unfortunately the problem doesn't appear in screenshots taken with fraps. It doesn't appear in captured video either. Weird.
Insectecutor: you have a sli/crossfire configuration? if yes it may be the used render mode which causes that tearing
gopher: I have a 5870 so I don't have two GPUs. I do have dual monitors but I can't see how that'd screw things up.
The problem kinda looks like I'm seeing the frame being drawn. Enabling vsync doesn't help. There's a very obvious giant right-angled triangle that gets updated before everything else, from the bottom left of the screen to two thirds along the bottom, to around two thirds up.
Win7 x64, latest cats.

Other outdated computer here.
fuckin A, man
Tested on two 9800GTX on SLI, worked almost smoothly except on some parts where the fps dropped around 5 fps.
Great 4k
Great 4k
=)
Great prod, lot of content! Lacks some polishing though (dolphin looks odd and colours are to be improved).
Great 4k
Cool!
awesome 4K
a bit too grey in many aspects
Love that shakey cam.
meh...
I liked the ambiance, the use of postprocessing to narrow the scene view and add some pixel patterns, synth is really good... The music is interesting, but I didn't find it to match the visual's sync... and yep, the dolphin was too polish (with no water interaction :p )... but overall is a good 4k!
decent enough
next time make the water splash..
next time make the water splash..
good
perlin noise(?) and landscape good, rest not my cup of tea.
nice one!
nice little intro.
btw the "whale" is a little bit weird :D

marvellous! balls shitting cubes!
annoying and cheesy music.
