Beeper music-collection.
Just a simple BASIC production. It comes from Forever 2010, sent only for a presentation, not for a compo.

Actually this is a demo for very rare American machine - Timex Sinclair 2068 but I tested it and it works also on regular ZX Spectrum.

Taken from WWW site:
"I don't know if there was ANY demo ever written especially for Timex Sinclair 2068 (that is almost incompatible with ZX Spectrum), but supposedly this is the first real demo for the TS2068 machine. It contains 3 digital songs for the BEEPER and 2 chiptunes for it. DO NOT use emulators, their sound emulation SUCKS big time. The demo works also on TC-2048 and ZX Spectrum, so use the real machines, not emuls. This is my very first demo for the TS, so forgive me its visual crapness. ;) "

Also in the archive I noticed a file ready to load into original American Timex 2068 machine.

From this music-collection songs available in MP3 format (recorded from real hardware):

COSMIC ESCAPE (digital)
3-CHANNELS INSANITY (chiptune)
1-BIT IS ENUFF! (digital)
1-BIT CHASE (chiptune)
DIGITAL WORLD (digital)

GREAT STUFF to test my 2068 before I sell it! (it's on auction :))

TomoAlien: I'm afraid problem is: these are original versions. Spectrum48/Timex have sound quality of 1-bit only. Still people use it with nice effect. However as long as You don't get "original 16-bit versions of Amiga500 MODules" - also there will be no "original" Spectrum MODs in any higher quality because this IS original. :) Sorry for the joke but that's the comparison more/less, if You know what I mean. :)

I understand that they aren't conversions (Even if the converted songs were made just for this demo) and they were composed on ZX Spectrum.

Tomo: Yes, they were composed exactly on ZX Spectrum and for ZX Spectrum. Hence we can't listen to the any "hi-bit versions" because they're original versions. They make it like on Amiga. :) But - in 1-bit quality. :) Bit 8bit.
@TomoAlien, I do appreciate that this is 4 years later, but I think I have what you were asking. The software used to make digital tracks in this demo (Sample Tracker) supports, in addition to 1-bit output, the output to logarithmic 4-bit DACs found on 128K Spectrums. Now, it is a matter of discussion whether it would count as "high quality", but I am guessing it is higher quality:

(check "Digital AY" versions of the tracks, as opposed to "Beeper" versions).

Of course this rules. One of the first beeper demos of the modern era. Anyone can make beeper music today, using Beepola etc. This demo was made pre-Beepola, pre-rebirth of the Beeper scene. This WAS the rebirth of the Beeper scene.
