That's what happen when adults try to give a cookie to children...
If we chose these fonts, there is an obvious reason for it. Everything is made on purpose.
Nonetheless, we are happy for all that understood and deeply moved. For the others, try harder to get a visual culture.

I pretty much understood it and just don't think it's good. The colour and music work would even have saved it from a thumb down but the attitude you're showing there... bwahaha. Adults. RIGHT.

Nice doomsday athmosphere, but lacks climax and resolution.

Unfortunately, you're right... The music should have brought it all, but the current version has been finished the day before the party without any possibility to refactor its end into an overwhelming climax part. Thanks for noticing it.

doh: See, that's the problem. Arrogance is best served with impeccable style. Which "disgruntled artist feeling misunderstood by all those inferiors around him" isn't. Practice some more. :D

@kb: Ever thought it could just be a provocative way of being, say trolling, that suits on pouët?
As well as diarrhoea fits on the shower's walls.

We don't claim to be artists. At least, not with this fast made thing, done using spare rushes which grading and a good ambiance tune links together.
It's the opposite dear, this short video has a so obvious meaning to us that I feel upset about people only saying it's just too long, that there is not enough karate and dead cows, and that they don't understand it.
As if there would be anything to understand...
There is nothing special to understand. Nothing more than what the nfo says.

Btw, it just absolutely did not deserve to be ruined by the BP ugly and unattended sound balance, nor being shown in first position, whereas many shit came after. But who cares? Certainly not us.
Anyway, was it you pulling the buttons? May I suggest you or who it was to visit a hear therapist the soonest the best?

We made this as a present for you and your friends. You're free to throw it up. We had fun doing it and finally enjoy it's kind of universal message for the ones who start having a family life, even if it's a tightly breakpoint contextual video. That's all.

Guess I need to go find the visual culture shoppe then. Nice soundtrack and some good visual shots though.

This is almost TOO easy.

doh, you might not have noticed but all that disturbing noise that sounded like people shouting "boooooring!" "next!" "stop!" "aamiigaaaa" and the booing/hissing in the background didn't actually come out of the PA. Nice try though.

added on the 2010-04-14 15:20:47 by kb_ kb_
Don't take it as a personnal attack. It should not be too difficult to find dozens of persons who will confirm that the sound was ugly at BP10.
That's what I felt anyway...

Btw, I didn't thought I'd mention it, but during the first minut this video was shown on the big screen, the sound only came out from the right side speakers...
Anyway, right side infrabass maelstrom or both side ends up the same...

it shouldn't be that hard to find dozens of persons who will confirm that the projector showed crappy visuals in the beginning of the compo at BP10.
thank god they fixed it then...

btw, i gave it a try and watched it again.. it's still crap. a series of mostly unconnected moviestrips (golfplayer, haircut, xray, websitezoomer, baby on a breast). seriously - wtf? additionally crappy filter which creates huge artifacts.. maybe the sound would do it without the visuals (which is nothing special anyway).. and combined with these visuals (and the annoying length) it sucks hard.
maybe it just wasn't the right party to release at. what reactions did you expect anyway?

What Nemesis said.

Le prod, c´est la merde.

and the PA on BP ruled HARD! I heard just one (1) guy saying that the bass was too heavy, but that´s a matter of taste after all. I think even if it hadn´t been for the party itself, visiting BP had already paid out every single fucking time the compo announce jingles were played, the bass pounding hard, everything quite loud but yet clean and almost crystal clear. Sound and volume were perfect (f.ex. also during Ronny´s set). But after watching and listening to this prod once more, I know what you maybe meant with "infrabass". And you must be that pissed about "unbalanced" sound because the sound was definitely the better part of this prod, the rest is just SCHEISSE as I already stated.

Oh, and one more thing:

BASS!

One of the few productions that really moved me. Wierd that it's thumbed down so often here, so here is my thumb up.

I was a bit dissapointed at first because I expected something funny like "Memorize your dinner" when I saw "Dreamdealers" on the screen, but I understood the intention of the film soon. Sitting in your kitchen after a work day, preparing your food and thinking about how nice it would be to make mod-files or routines like back in the days when you had all the time to.

However, I think it's just a matter of self-organisation and getting your ass up. A good example are the ASD guys with family and all. It is possible.

In other words, "The end of an Era" can just be the first part of a trilogy which will conclude in the comeback of Dreamdealers in the Amiga Demoscene. Right?

Aside from that, I think kb actually did a good job with the sound. My entries, at least, sounded 100% correct and they had a lot of bass. The picture was also perfect all the time, so no need for ranting here and not for taking critisism personal either. Not on pouet, at least! ;)

@Reaktormuffel : You're right in a way. And if you think about it, we found the time for doing this video... ;)
This moved you because you probably have the same nostalgia of that time when things were easier and you could express your creativity whenever you liked. I guess a kind of special sensitiveness is needed to get in the mood.

But that's not all dark. The colors just faded a bit.
Life must go on like this infinite train.

LMAO right now.

My sensitiveness told me to turn that huge pile of scheiße just off when that guy was shaving himself.

Comes to this prod, age or matureness don´t matter; may you be 15, 35, or 55, this prod was, is and will always be just SCHEISSE.

So, get over it, and get a real life FFS.
And stop whining because you lost your toys somewhere on the way. Everything you want and everything you are able to always lies within you. Considering this prod, that ain´t much.

I just watched this to see what the controversy is about. Here's my thoughts.

The movie does achieve a certain lynch-esque feel, e.g. with the eyes close-up shots. The bees were a nice touch. And I liked the sound effects.

Oh, and of course the tit and the baby.

However, I can't see how the events on screen have an "obvious" meaning. If you hadn't read the nfo, I say you wouldn't pick up the message just from watching the prod.

More likely, you'd go "what is all this random stuff"?

And as a last thought, I really wouldn't have put screenshots of the website in there. That was just... I don't know, super-lame.

Anyway. I won't thumb this down as watching it didn't annoy me, but I can't really give it a thumbs-up either because it didn't trigger my "hey this was cool" gratification neurons.
added on the 2010-05-01 15:16:29 by vibrator vibrator
There is no obvious meaning, just obvious feelings.
What you say is right anyway, every image dealing with BP and scene makes it lame. But as it had been made for it and as it was inspired by the BP's site quotes. So it makes a kind of an incoherent blend between scene vacuity and something trying to get deep inside of your soul. Desserves piggy for that.
