Looks like it needs a very expensive GPU or a video capture!

cudademo ;) require at least nvidia gtx 260
video plz
video plz
2012 called, they want their demo back
YAY! A demo that only 5% of the people will be able to watch.
As for me: Ati card here, so, video or didn't happen :)

At least a screenshot would be nice...
I save my thumb for when I see this demo
but from Tenerife-Spain I say spox and buzka to maq,mae azarro and the musicians!

Part of me says vendor specific demos are bullshit, but another slightly larger part points out Amiga vs Atari and GUS vs SB and all the quality demos those battles produced. I guess I won't see this until I break like the weak willed bitch I am and buy an nvidia card.
hrmm i have gtx280 and latest cuda installed but just get a black screen with music :( i'm looking forward to seeing it though! awesome to see cuda being used, it's such a cool technology!
Cool! Works fine on WinXP SP2, GTX260 + CUDA 2.3 (if you get "cudart.dll not found" message, try to install CUDA Toolkit 2.3, then copy cudart.dll from CUDA/bin/ to the demo folder).
maq: not at all :) keep coding!
nice

So you need something like a zeno machine to detect the crashing?but also WILL crash after intro infinite zoom.
sorry but this looks like a bad compilation of coding tutorials...
Group name explains it all. ;) You've got nice spheretracer, but haven't used it right (see Heaven 7 for example of how to do things). Leaving a piggy for nice music and good effort of submitting a prod.
I have a gtx285 on XP SP2 and latest cuda, same result as blackpawn, except my screen is grey instead of black.
don´t like it.... to polished and clean ...
raytraced ball men?
come on
come on
just bad
btw, hardware requirements for this demo are ridiculous.

Crash!!1
optix?
Doesn't work... do I have too slow machine: Quad Xenon 3GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 295 + Quadro NVS 270? ROTFL! Drivers 190.38 with CUDA support, CUDA Toolkit 2.1, Vista x64... ;)
video, for god's sake, please!
Will not run for here. Vista x64, Intel quad, 8 gigs of RAM, gtx260. Tried All CUDA versions with corresponding drivers as well as XP compatibility mode and run as admin.
pffff
what Bobic said...
Watched the video now... Didn't like anything here, would have been a piggy but the ridiculous hardware requirements (what for actually?) transform mrs.piggie into:
For a first demo by a new group this isn't bad at all even in a megademo presented way! I liked the zoomer best! Here is my thumb!
I don't have any problem with high spec demos. It's no worse than console demos that I have to watch on video too.
The problem I have is the awful design and direction and I mean AWFUL! If only you asked around, I'm sure you could have found someone to design some text and logos for you.
Great musicians involved in this, but interchangeable music doesn't work! A demo (in my opinion) should work WITH the soundtrack and all visual should be in time to the music on some level.
I'm a big fan of Maq's previous work and the effects show some good coding skills, but it wasn't enough to make a good demo.

sorry, this is just bad, and on the top of that, the hardware requirements are more than ridiculous...
What Wade and Blala said. Didn't like it at all, sorry.
Sorry but no. Some nice stuff but overall the effects weren't that interresting and it's lame to stick to a single gpu vendor only, even though it's CUDA, not to mention the hw requirements. Also, why would you have multiple soundtrack options in a demo?
what Wade said
I liked the demo as prod that shows what can be done in realtime using cuda. High spec for me is also no big deal.
And as Wade said the only thing that it lacked was design. With proper music & visual sync this prod would be much better ( I also didn't like idea of random 3 soundtracks ).
But it is your first one so keep up good work :)

It might be the first hard Coder's demo but it's not Maq's first demo (far from it!), just in case you thought that.
There are quite a few good looking effects, and the xceed track is more than cool for my taste. The design and hw requirements needs to be improved next time.
Thx for capturing...

what Clarence said.
Great as a megademo.
Great as a megademo.
intro photography is a panoramic connection of few shot taken in glasgow, scotland. never go there unless you're brave as fuck or clever as wank :)
Ok, ok, I was about to thumb it down for it just for the screenshot, but it doesn't do it justice. Demo is more varied and better looking than that, though it feels like a cuda tech demo without the paid artist at nvidia, which brings me to my next point.
Asking a Nvidia GTX 260 and ONLY a Nvidia GTX 260 is asking too much for a below average demo.
Do it in software or better with the standard d3d and ogl toolkit and I'll probably thumb it up.
But come on with those videos, Cinepak? In 2009? Couldn't you find an older codec?
Why didn't you use Microsoft Video 1 while at it?
The banding and logo flickering looked kinda cool if it weren't due to compression artefacts.
Oh well, piggy for trying new technologies (let's hope OpenCL drivers matures). I liked traymuss edition, seemed to fit better.

love to the Juggler, no love to the design of this demo and the cuda technology. The tracks, especially the one from xceed, are awesome!
good show, nice ideas !
like the soundtrack as it fits a tech-demo like this !

la conception était terrible
somewhat too techie
ce que tempsréel a dit
rather boring, but thumb for the tech..
