Motivating thumb down.
1) Do not use constant color for background. People usually don't like. Use some sort of gradient filling or something like this.
2) Try to write music, not just sort of sine wave with slowly changing frequency.
3) Always remember - demoscene is about entertainment, not about just coding skills.

Keep going, dont stop. Spend more time preparing next time. For a decent free synth, look in the sources of sprite_o_mat. But most of all, keep going.
