lol, the commodore ballons from the c64 handbook deserve a thumb up alone :D

Haven't had time to read the scroller yet (still at the party), but this was my personal favourite in the compo. A bit lacking on the fx side, but wonderfully weird in the trademarked Puterman way.

A nice little detail hidden in a massive pile of fugly randomness.

Only because of the endpart which I quite like I give you a piggie. The rest is rather fugly and boring. Are the zoomed circles done in realtime? If so, that would be another reason for the piggie. :)

I've always liked the we/series.

Having read the scroller I'm struck dumbfounded by the sheer genius of the concept and the possibilities for interpretation. One of the best artsy demos I have ever watched.

StingRay: "realtime" is about as well defined a term as "subjective". But with 3 degrees of freedom, full screen resolution and the full circle drawn every frame, you know it's not a naive implementation (there is no "super optimized circle drawing routine" and an unrolled eor filler or something, because that wouldn't help). It's much more realtime than animation.

The circle part is a slightly modified version of the first effect in Wok/Zombie. I was too stupid back then to realize how easy it'd be to add the x movement.

Some interesting stuff... don't know exaclty how to vote for it. But I know one thing for sure: I love sound-synchronised effects and therefor I loved the Idea of the zooming balls. My THUMB atleast for this part!

puterman: thanks, "much more realtime than animation" is what I thought it was. Then here's your BB Imagefor that very circle routine because I quite liked that as well! :)

i really like the concept, filled up with those nice screens of stories from the past of we/5. mentioning karita in the scroller sure isn't disappointing. filled up with a couple of nice flashbacks from demos seen before, i'd say my grandfather, puterman, did a great job. galm champagne for this guy!

rulez added on the 2007-07-10 17:37:29 by mad mad
oswald: At least I've got bigger balls than Krill, and that's what always counts, although his are in the sideborder.

And everything you've ever done was also done by Ash&Dave 20 years ago. :)
