I find it hard to believe noone has added this one before, as its one of the first good vector demos on the PC. Also contains some sprite-effects.

Oh look, you got screenshot sand everything! Won't run with my fake-SB onboard sound, I'd have to drag out my old dying SBPro. This is the first demo I ever saw, BTW. Noone who's been in the scene less than 8 years could possibly give it a thumbs up. :)
We're still debating whether or not this should go on the DemoDVD, you'll just have to see if it does. :)
Anyone interested in a MOD-conversion of the soundtrack, with the original samples, send me an email. I managed to do one a couple years ago!

first PC demo i have seen as well... i remember it was in some PC shop when 386 was a damn expensive piece (:
Must be the first pc demo I saw too :-) I don't know what the DemoDVD will contain but if it has a 'legacy' category, Vectordemo could not be excluded! :-)
A great classic.
UF has a web site now.
Check out the opening flash animation :)

I saw it first many years after the release (96-97?)... That's interesting to see the debut of the PC demoscene... and funny to see what they do with vector balls :)
Just saw this one again on my Win2000 machine (without sound) and it still rocks. Had first seen it about five years ago and was thinking about its name for a whole lot of time.
I hadn't voted for this as I see..
Funny, was my first one on the pc, too. And actually it was about then when I finally believed that the pc could be a machine for demos.
One of the first PC demos I saw, although not the first. Ruled plenty :-)
True legacy. I believe this is one of the first demos I saw, I remember that Sorcerers 'for ever and ever' - but this is much more demo category than that.
i like it!
The first demo I saw.. I was 15... Without it I dont think I would be posting on pouet.net today... For its time it was absolutely totally amazing.. tracked music, vector 3D.. Actually it still runs under Dosbox these days..
One of the very demo I saw on PC, maybe even the first one. It's pretty old and I actually don't remember but it deserves a thumb up!
cute pc oldschool
Again, one of the first demos I ever saw. I love Ultraforce. They were my favourite group until I saw Unreal :)
as far as i remember it is quite boring, but still, one of the first demos on pc, and the vectors were cute!
yeah, reflections were kewl :)
Classic. One of those things that lead me to the demoscene in the first place..
one of the first demos i found in directory "animation" on a shareware-cd back in 1994..
.. and made me interested in the demoscene
watched it often =>

you're not a demoscener unless you saw this demo as a kid. :)
gloom, lame statment, what if you where only 5 years when that demo was released? and didn care shit about those lame computers OR demoscene befor you discoverd it in 2002-2003 ? ;)
olihan se aika hirveä.
win32 port PLEASE!
"what we gonna do is go back, way back in time!"
With "metal surgery" by FC one of my favourites at that time. Can't remember how often I saw that one. GREAT!
I actually bought this demo (and all the other UF demos) at some computerfair back then, maybe I should sell these on ebay? ;-)
wow those floppies are a real gem. UF Development ;) haha. This demo put everything else to shame on my 386 until I started seeing FC demos. Very very impressive for its time.
I remember my friend bringing this in to run on the college PCs with his homemade soundcard.. I spent the time criticizing it and saying my Amiga could do better.
Hooray for vectors \o/
Sweet
Great coup de cour choice!
here's a link to my mod soundtrack conversion. and, fwiw, runs like a charm in dosbox (0.65).
Yay!
This was the blessing of every computershop owner in Holland back then.
I remember it was showed in almost every computershopwindow to get customers in to buy.

This was the PC demo that showed what Amiga is all about
We need more democoders like this.
yeah! the first demo I have ever seen, and the one that got me into the demoscene.
Dutch arrogance at its best.
And rightly so, it was the first PC demo that I saw, that didn't look like a PC demo, but more like an Amiga demo. Smooth 3d graphics and nice tracker tune.

A great demo with fast graphics and a great design for such an old demo running on PC :)
I haven't seen it but the screenshots are promising, so thumb up :)
l liked it back then and l still do today! =D
/me points and laughs at the reference to the text being a 'scroll' - on the other hand, it's very smooth (cept for one ojbect which I think is a dosbox issue.) so props.
amazing
and it was actually quite fun to play with the controls at the end :)

very classic.
strange music. (As 1991 styles.)
but, vector ball was unique.
refrection wall was nice.
anyway totaly nice.

respect.. loved that one years ago!

great demo.
Arjan is really a great coder.
although the guys are full of themselves... very good prod!
Great demo. Didn't manage to run it with music.
This is huge!
how could i forget
Lest we forget.
Aww.. I remember watching this years ago when I still had a computer that could restart in DOS mode. I really liked the gradients and the mirroring effect back then.
nice, very amigaish
First pc demo for me too. Nice one.
cool!
the first real PC demo i saw.
Clever tricks in showing fake phöng and a lot of calculations going on! Music is just crazy but I love it! I wonder what those 'fast tweaked routines' are, atleast they made this possible.
I'm sure this was beyond any 286 demo there was(still?).

nice
The first PC Demo for me. The entrance into the Demoscene. love it.
a real pc scene starter.
Wow.
One of the first decent PC demo i saw...
Tasty.
les memories
Vectors and oldskool soundtrack!
the music!
One of the definitive early PC demos.
I never saw any PC demos back then really. Everyone had amiga. But watching it now.. well, it's pretty terrible :D But putting it in context, that's how things were back then, and this is pretty cool.
For nostalgy value.
Hey, an Amiga demo on PC! :) And if the year is 1991, it looks great ;)
Ugliest thing in existence.
Definitely technically & visually the best polished DOS prod for it's time ! Unbelievable speed, runs well on i286 !
I was sure watching an Amiga demo from the early 90s after receiving a YouTube-link. MS-DOS? Wow! That was surprising!!!
Pretty tough for a PC demo for that time. Well done with very cool effects. Only the strange music is not my cup of tea.
good looking and sounding
Great visuals, terrible music.
Gabber and a lot of 3d objects
Great inspiration for us dutch demosceners in the early 90s
Cool
When I try this on real PC, I get a message about a corrupted file. The solution is, your director has to be named VECT and be in the root. I could run at it A:\VECT from floppy or C:\VECT, but got the message when it's on C:\DEMOS\VECT or C:\VECTDEMO
ok
Banging low-fi tuneage, nice balls.
Didn't get Optimus' issues running it on real hardware.
