Ps try 2 things, 1 you can reinstall Directx.
2. Right click on the exe file go to properties
click on the compatibility tab then go to compatibility mode select an older version of windows in the pull down menu click apply. windows ME or 98 best choice.

Original design and music. I also got that 'limit of 64 video modes exceeded' error message a couple of times, I suppose it's better to run the demo after a clean boot.
