constantly evolving sound and visuals. I like it in all it's seeming simplicity.
Sorry, I don't like this one.
Sounds too old.
Not a good idea for a port.

"kewl as a fuck" ! this demo is the epicenter of the dark mfx side :P
the pictures are a bit lagging on my pc compared to the smoothness of the dos version ..
probably my laptop screen demanding 60hz all the time when it should be 70 for 320x200..

i have serious problems running this win32 version... it runs apparently 1/20 of the original speed and music sounds like the latter part of the surge (pure noise). windowed mode doesn't work at all (even after switching to 16bit screen mode).
fix it, it's odd-sounding and sluggish
well, if you have xp and/or dx9 i am unable to test with either of those ...
i don't really have time to be working on this at the moment, but i've done everything i can think of right now, so you might want to try again.
email me if you have further problems, i'll see what i can do.

a bad one
muchos rispekt.
a very good one
jo! where's grüne kühe?
I always liked this one. And I think that the framerate was higher in the DOS version, too (or at less it seemed more smooth).
too abstract for me... but it can't suck, cuz it's mfx prod.
nice
didnt check the port yet but i loved the dos version and i been waiting for the windoze conversion!
this windows version doesn't run correctly
runs to slow to be watchable on an amd xp 2000+ 1.6 ghz.
I've long since kept the Haujobb demo Kosmiset Avaruus Sienet on my harddrive, which claims to include a remix of an MFX tune. My guess is this here production includes the original mod. Interesting to finally see the source of inspiration.
However, I really didn't like this demo. Too static and not very much sync between visuals and music. The Haujobb 'remix' managed to recreate the same atmosphere, but I personally think it was far far far more interesting and absorbing.

Three wrong assumptions in one post is quite a lot for one post, thom *cough* ;)
thom:
a little hint.
a little hint.
I *know* the haujobb demo is based upon "kromiset sienet." It says so in the info file. But what about the module? It does indeed contain music from "Within Minutes." (It says so on melwyn's homepage.)
So where were my wrong assumptions??
So where were my wrong assumptions??
thom did u ever see the original dos version? it seems the port is not running correctly on most computors
ran fine here. good demo^Wanimation ;)
I liked the original DOS version, so I like this one :)
seems to be lacking in framerate on my machine also...(at least I hope it is ;)
you should have made this work before releasing
thom, yep you're right. kosmiset avaruus sienet music is remixed from both within minutes and kromiset sienet. however as raver said, the port doesn't work on all the configurations and that might be the reason for lacking sync - within minutes i remember has brilliant synchronization between the animation and the music.
framerate issues should be resolved now.
however, if you had problems like melwyn mentioned further up the page, it's unlikely to behave any differently.

should work now... thanks for your help, melwyn

sooothing...
Just f*ckin' great! More detailed comment on the DOS version.
Repeating musics and visual that is what I like.
By the looks of the data folder this thing is about 1% realtime, but it still kicks ass anyway
Yeah
Judging from the posted screenie I was not surprised this to be utter crap.
pr0n and metal guitars
wrong prod ;P
everytime we have a booze+demo party, this will be played.
mfx
the stuff ravers nightmares are made off
++ cool tune
+ vj-ing
- no realtime
-- way too long for small content

cool visuals and atmosphere but technical nothing new.
it's cool - nothin wrong with it but nothing to write about either - worth a casual watch
is not that good enough to get a piggy. could have been better ported
okish
kinda cool but it ends up crashing at some point
ok stuff.
Good.
Och nö.
the fscking business
The quintessential rave demo!
more ahhh
what a trippy demo, saw it for the first time today
