really impressive for a two days of coding and gfx'ing. ps: You've chosen wisely I think that I'm not good at coding fast and stable interfaces. hmm maybe I'll look for a job at M$ :). Good work guys!! cheers

This is very excellent background music. The interface sucks, though. A music disk is not a demo, and the main loop should [b]not[\b] eat 100% CPU time. Some well-placed Sleep() commands do wonders. Either that, or use GetMessage() like any other well-behaved Windows program.

There are sleep functions where they belong, and GetMessage() requires the use of separate thread for any kind of animations as it doesn't return until a message have been posted to our application, it've tried to use a timer and an own made thread but without suckcess, the bottleneck is the opengl swapbuffers(), use the minimize button and it won't "eat 100% of the CPU time" anymore.

FUCKINGS TO FUCKINGS!

s_tec: and do you know the exact granulity of Sleep? It's completely useless. You must do it in separate thread that controls the display refresh rate with WaitableTimer or high precision Timer. Anyways I don't belive that hitchhikr had time to implement this in two days so just watch the scroller/gfx for some time and minimize it. Are you spending your time just for watching foobar's/winamp's interface? Not a chance.
Cheers

if you don't want to make the musicdisc too heavy to download, it's not so hard to code a downloader from the musicdisc...
The tracks i've dl'ed atm sound pretty good

am i the only one who gets a white box instead of an actual interface? the music starts playing allright.

Minus: The GUI is a bit too small and cannot be resized
Plus: Everything else <3

Sounds like it's the same gfx card that kb is using on his computer and the same trouble he had with the cracktro i did for hoodlum and the musicdisk i did for trsi. Basically, you need a gfx card that can handle rectangular textures (implemented in opengl 1.1 !). "Extreme" ? Oh yeah.

Great ambient tracks indeed. GUI didn't really work at all { when mouse pointer is on any button, layout goes almost all white }... BB Image for the music :)

hitch, i've been *coding* a demo with rectangular textures on this box :)

(unless you're saying your textures aren't 2^n * 2^m either)

but well, i guess it's something with the card anyhew.
