Perhaps one might say that this is the demo that launched Statix into scene stardom. You should see ACT1 though, 'cos it also is pretty cool. Superb code, a nice morphing torus, each effect plays a role in the demo, it isn't just a chain of them. The music is not up to the code, but it fits well the atmosphere of the demo. My fav part is the last one, when music get's technoish, effect synching goes mad, etc. You gotta see it.

Nice & fluid transitions,This is the first demo i watched, and it is still on my HD.
(probably needs a real 486 with GUS or SB, it just shows the rotating faces on my pentium with a SB audioPCI 128)

I wan't to see that demo without problems!
On my 486 it should be good (This means, without the problems I have today on Pentium) but slow, and because of that it crashed :P
On my Pentium, it plays the music very slowly.. so it has problems with synchronizations and I don't get it..
The smaller the khz, the less slow the music will be played, but even with very few it's still slow :P

If I had a GUS...

oh, I love this one! Skywalker's music rocks (atleast it did back then :), it has the best fractalzoomer since Crystal Dream 2, and the effects are great (although I could've survived without that tunnel).

Wow. Everything what a classic needs: Perfect syncs, a lot of good (and original!)effects and good transitions between them. See it!

quite a coder demo (graphics-wise) actually, but the cooool and fast effects and the fast-paced design makes up for it.

It was great at the time, and still worth the watch. =)

take the overall design from amiga demos, and add the processing power of a high end 486, and you get this - spanking stuff! nice design too!

Great demo, but not really up there like the rest of the demos by statix - I think it's the colors fault in this one. Still was amazing at the time, especially the lattice thing.

Near the end when the alarm starts sounding the demo suddenly jumps up in speed.

And man is that last part good.

My favourite demo of all time! I wonder how it could be that this is only second, with this nooon demo at first? Oh, and music rox, I had a lot of searching to have it as xm file, only one year ago it become possible with Milky Player:)
In the demo I love espessially last part with fractals. Too bad that this is not included in Mindcandy DVD, if it was more people would love it.

I think that Stars is better in every way, but this demo has its own style, and has great effects too.

one of my favorites at the time. i dont have a count on how many times i saw it. i actually think the tunnel part is one of the best there is except for the one in kkowboy (i think). last part rocks. i wish demos of today could have the same feel like this one had back then.

Yes, Stars is better. But this is one of my favorites too.

I like the fractal rotozoomer thingies, but everything else is rather uninterresting. I don't like the music at all.
