But I'm confused on how this got so high when kb's tutorial explicitly says that the 3d effect should be as minimal as possible to avoid straining the eyes of the people watching on the big screen to around 15-ish pixels when many scenes get close to 10 times that amount.

Love the calming music that give these visuals their own direction.
Some of my best teenagehood memories formed at night while walking around my hometown city centre, coming back from bars with deejays playing and local bands playing in old cellars, sometimes on a skateboard and sometimes a bit too drunk. There is something quite particular about a certain hour of the night, between 4 and 5, where truly most people are still sleeping and you are just here, witnessing the stillness.
This demo is great at capturing it (alas with a bit of a different background considering the architecture in Rouen) and you got me at skatepark.
