But seriously, very cool intro - I would even say my favorite this year so far.
I love the synth quality: banjo (karplus-strong I suppose), and if I hear correctly some nice flutes, plus the complete story, animation, production.

totally nailed the sphere there .. the sphere is very right. Can't wait for a few sequels to see what happens to our shady protagonists after this touching reunion that almost went wrong .

This is great and seems pretty novel. You used your constraints well.
You could have stuck to your guns a little bit more, e.g. the heart in the sky and some of the 3D.... just go full cartoon! Drop the camera animation to a lower framerate to match the animation?
Anyway, a great concept pretty well executed!

I love it. Visually, it has something reminiscent of Saucelifter! (probably just a coincidence, though :))
It conveys a nice atmosphere you could find in classic European comic books as well.
