I always loved small demos (and during my stay at Assembly'95 I did write a 128 byte basic one) but 16 bytes is much further that I thought possible!

Genuinely so impressive that pouet doesn't even recognize it and has to put it as "32 bytes". Also for anyone wondering, no this is not small enough to brute force every possible combination, as with 256 bits it's 1.5x10^77 combinations, which is only a few orders of magnitude off of how many atoms are in the observable universe, I'm just imagining having all the matter in the universe getting put into that many DOS machines running each 16 byte combination of a program and out there somewhere is this one in all it's beauty. That makes me kinda interested to see if any bit-flips would have the program still work, but like the colors are slightly different or something.

Congrats on winning a 256b compo with 16 bytes ^^

i found the original Text Plasmosis in 14 bytes more impressive though

On that note, Plasmosis can be done in 13 bytes
And Rainbow Surf can be done in 15 bytes

But i won't spoil the golfing fun for y'all ... yet ;)

Impressive :-D and thanks for another 'magic trick' to figure out.

clever use of the bigger but mostly unaware audience at revision :D

it now gets the thumbs the original did not get, rightfully so

Actually, I didn't expect to win at all. I had originally prepared the intro for Lovebyte, but then I thought, "there won't be another opportunity to release it anytime soon, so I might as well submit it to Revision."

I hadn't anticipated the momentum that developed after that. The demoscene really appreciates that kind of "nerdiness."
