In 1980 the Atari 2600 ppl would get a heart attack with it. And peraps you would have saved the video game industry crash with it (and saved many "ET goes home" cartridges from being burried ;).

Excellent usage of the resources. The parts starting at 2:50 sound unbelievable. I hope there'll be an option to set some CPU aside for the screen (at the expense of sound quality of course).

Very nice production. I would never have thought, that you could get such sound out, of a Atari-2600.

Question to the experts: I noticed that even this fantastic music is using separate voices for left and right channel. Since the 2600 outputs mono anyway, why not assuming both channels as one? That would result into 30 different volumes instead of 2 x 15. Of course multiple voices would still have to be mixed, but this would be more flexible. And the TIA volume compression could be considered easier too.
At least in theory that should sound even better, no?
