10 years of Hugi

category: general [glöplog]

Hi there,

10 years ago, on May 25th, 1996, the 1st issue of Hugi was released. So we can celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hugi Magazine today.

In other words: I'm still pursuing the same hobby as I did when I was 12 :)

Hugi #32 will probably be released in July 2006. Your articles are welcome.

Cheers
Adok/Hugi

Hehe. In Austria, it's the 18th birthday... Though the 14th and 16th birthdays aren't irrelevant either, as they're also connected with some additional rights.

Well, and of course the 65th birthday is also relevant, or at least it was so in the past :)

Happy birthday! Speaking as a fellow diskmag editor, I know the congratulations will have been hard-won on your part!

I remember reaching the decade milestone with 'Maggie' on the ST/Falcon in 2000. 'ST-News' even managed ten years by 1995! They started quite early, of course. I called it a day with Maggie, but kept on going with involvement in Alive! mag, which managed to get to the half-decade itself last year.

I daresay the other logical place to look for a long-lived diskmag would be the Amiga or C64 scene.

So the question is asked, which is the oldest diskmag out there?

Adok: the 32th issue will be great, and we need either an happy birthday picture for the ending one or an happy birthday intro as a bonus. Every good painter / coder / musician / writer is welcome to bring everybody a good present for the next hugi.

Congrats.

You should celebrate it by not publishing anything written by ep.

i wonder why people promote diskmag 'birthdays' more often than demogroup 'birthdays'.

Optimus: You're welcome.

The same goes to everybody else, too, of course.

@kus ma bite: As a matter of fact I don't have much time for hobbies any more.
