I use a dreamcast on a vga monitor

(to expand on that, it is the only console I know which has native VGA support. You need some sort of box, but the signal is genuine native vga)

Of course a 1084 Monitor is just fine for Dreamcast. There were some very cheap TVs in our local "Globus" Supermarket. 99 EUR - 55 cm Bildschirmdiagonale!
I thought about getting a second one, to play Shoot'em Ups in Tate mode (=vertical).

dip: The 1084 commodore monitor runs perfect with a Dreamcast. I use the same one for take Shmups.
