Up Rough - Looking for SDL/2D coder
category: general [glöplog]
Up Rough is looking for a coder that can handle SDL for a multiplatform project. We would like to port our musicdisks to as many platforms as possible. We have some new musicdisks (EP's) in development and feel that they deserve a bigger audience. The current code is written in 'C' mostly with some small ASM routines, so some knowledge of ASM would be good, but maybe not mandatory. The code involves 2D only, no 3D. If you are intrested contact spotAtriadDOTse, looking forward to hear from you!
/spot and the up rough kru!

i dont know about this idea.. i think it will make people less motivated to get an amiga
really, everyone should automatically want an amiga because they're so awesome.
I'm just trying to install WinUAE to hear at them :) ...
Hollowman: how can you make anyone less motivated to get an Amiga? People are either superzealots or just can't care less... and the zealots already have several amigas :)
Why on earth would anyone want less than 5 Amigas?
Fuck, I've got 2 amigas. Anyone have some rope or a shotgun?
*cough* there is 3d in the ep's :)
flenski: hah.. damn, I had forgot about that. But it doesn't matter, the effects are standalone exe's anyway. No biggie to swap out. BTW, 'good, bad and uggly dub' deserves a second chanse, the bassline kicks rumpa!
is there any sense in trying to force people to use amiga? heck, if someone doesn't realize why having an amiga is great then it's their problem. freedom not restriction!
spot: none of my old scetches deserves a second chance because the suck ass (not kick ass) :P
gemini: well said <3

surely they do. about that platform crap, let's not polute the thread... i use amiga, some don't.. let it rest.. let's just get some motivated coder on here... heeeeelloooo? codapeople where are you? this is your chanse to become an up rough supastar! :D
surely they don't i meant.. eheheh...
uh.. wrong again, ignore my last 2 posts
Spot does SDL stuff compile on 68K/AGA too?
multiplatform ASM code involved? hbrrr
spot.. check yer mail
UPR pouteizising their own thredzor ! Yay!!
wad_ yes it does. but it wouldn't be to any use, as we already have a good version for 68k/aga.
an SDL version for 68k/aga would be too slow.

evilpaul, yes, i have read your mail! i will write back soon! so far 3 people have shown interest, maybe the three of you could work together?
the_Te_Ti, the amount of ASM is tiny. Easilly replaced by C code.
