scene music stolen
category: music [glöplog]
Thanks Gargaj :) I saw the sunvox.so library in the game dir but had no clue what that was.
Great :) Wouldn't have hurt to give credit to the author of the music they had permission for.

The hook in ZOMBIE HYPERDRIVE - Ghost Blade (2016) basically sounds the same as the soundtrack of Megalactic by Schengen Allstars (by lug00ber 2014)
Nah, they're a few sids short of a Timbaland :)
It's not the most original pattern or chord progression, but the synth is a bit brassy so it sounds extra similar.
oh my god, they both played a major chord the same way! thievery!
As I just mentioned in the Discord, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6zTbwhThn0 is a promotional video for a paid application and it uses Xeno's soundtrack from the Function 07 invitation.
Can't really contact him easily, but for the sake of completeness I though I'd post this here, too.

OK, this is probably not completely on-topic for this thread, but it's at least somewhat related:
When I heard How Long by Tove Lo (and especially the first seconds), I get a distinct feeling that I've heard that sequence in some demo/scene music before.
Can't really back that feeling up with any facts, but maybe someone here can complete the connection?

@Sdw:
You probably meant that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFXIGHOElrE

Frameranger part 2 and Vercors by Mosaik (skip to 2:10) are other similar loose fits (but only really to the extent of "brassy synth playing a repeating scale that increases in tempo").
let's try to not copyright arpeggiated chords
I wanna copyright notes. G for Gaspode is now mine. Hahahahaha! (evil laughter)
well, I copyrighted the letter G from the alphabet, so now you have to give your note another name! I propose Phillip.
Philip?
»Roter Sektor« – he has a sense of humour ...
Rawtekk - Open Borders VIP - old YT video has snippets from several different demos in it - from start to finish
Puryx, fits better into Scene Visuals Stolen? https://www.pouet.net/topic.php?which=10940&page=1 ...although feels like whole demo stolen
Serpent: ah yeah - used the wrong thread dammit! :) thanks!
I see Virgill already posted about this Zhark character :)
Came across this Amiga demo compilation on YouTube, and it has a content ID match on one of the tunes. Apparently the music in the Quartex demo (at 2:34) was released as "Atomium" by Zhark on some kind of album. In reality the Soundtracker song was made by Oberheim, who's Swedish. I'd assume this Zhark person is German.
Of the other tunes on that Reverbnation page, "Roter Sektor" is of course Wasteland by Bit Arts. I can't identify the rest straight away, but many of them are clearly Amiga tunes from the late 80s. "Helmholtz Equation" sounds especially familiar.

Ok, so someone took my full track from "The Process" released in 2019, altered it _slightly_ and releaed it as their own track commercially as "IPHAZE - Shiny Flakes"...
Does anyone know about IPHAZE, and if they've done this before?

"Zhark" - Intoxikat E is of course by Static, from Total Triple Trouble demo. Thule Tachyonator is end credits tune from Budbrain Megademo.
bruh, this iphaze even stole 'the process' prod itself and used it as a trailer...
WTF... also comments aren't shown on the video. I guess they don't like them very much
Flashira: where’s that? (Link please :) )
emoon: I wrote a not-so-positive comment yesterday - maybe they turned them off since then.
