Graffathon is a three-day demoparty organised by DOT and Aaltoes. It is a continuation of Code+Audio+Graphics in 2013 and the first Graffathon last year. The event is targeted at real beginners who have no previous graphics coding and/or demoscene experience. We are expecting a participation of over a hundred potential new sceners. Participants will create a demo in a weekend using Processing. Allowed tools are not limited to Processing but that is what we recommend and for which we provide help and guidance.
The program consists of helpful presentations given by sceners which guide our participants on how to create their first demo. In addition, we tell them about the demoscene and demo culture.
We will provide a stream of the presentations and the democompo on our website.
The presentations uploaded after the event and all the demos will be on pouët.

Nice! I remember last year's Graffathon produced some very nice prods; and I see there's even one group (gluster) that came back and released something at Revision.

Princess_Luna, thanks! The last year was already a massive success, I believe we'll get some awesome entries this year as well -- we've got more participants and a better venue (and sponsors!) this year.

While not strictly a demoparty, this was possibly the best demoscene related event I have ever participated. Amazing atmosphere and spirit with an surprising amount of promising new faces. Kudos to the organizers, fabulous job!
the number of entries in the compo was impreesive. of course the hackathonish attempt pretty much enforces quick party hacks but this is a straight A in terms of outreach!
