So here be thread about the major things that happen.

Quick recap of recent changes:

Directory structure for screenshots / nfos / etc were revamped so now it hits the filesystem a bit less.

Bulletin boards are back

Compo types have been revamped internally so adding new ones is probably less of a hassle now.

Lists are back, add them here

Oh and I obviously forgot the current update:

The customöolobstormaziabletic 7004+ super has been upgraded and you can access it here - you can now completely rearrange the front page, move any box anywhere, remove, add new, have one multiple times, etc etc.

More custom boxes are incoming at some point.

And yeah it supports multiple layouts so in the future I'll be adding more "common" looks like the Wordpress-style "content + sidebar" thing or just one big column in the middle.

wow, that site configuration is really nice and modern, cool stuff :)

about the boards... if its not just there for nostalgias sake it would be a good thing to rename the phone number field to a more general meaning (like address or location or whatever) and make sure it can handle telnet links since that seems to be the 'modern' way of accessing them.

fair enough.. i hardly visited any telnet bbs twice, and if i tried it was mostly already gone again :p
maybe the c64 scene has more need for this since some ultra old scene rules regarding where-to-release-your-shit-so-its-official still apply.

ooh and while im at it, (right-alligned? optional?) timestamps for the oneliner pretty pretty please? :D

custöomizer is great stuff, except it lost all my previous layout settings.
anyway, great stuff. feel free to keep adding things like that. :))

Odd, I did a migration before. Oh well.

I thought so too at first, but just going to the customizer and pressing submit restored it. The settings were there, but weren't applied to the layout in practice.

I thought so too, but there were boxes that I have removed before. also, the count (prods/comments) for other boxes wasn't correct but rather set to default.

but, it really doesn't matter, it is now a matter of seconds to get a look you want in a new customiser. really great feature!

doesn't work for me... when i try to set 10 news on the site it doesn't save it and it's 5 again.

Q: Is it possible to add resizing to the custöomizer? Or maybe just some presets for different layouts columns-wise? What i hoped for to do is having 2 columns, one with the wider boxes like the news and the oneliner and another one for the not-so-wide ones like top of the month, login and stats. Presets could be 3 columns, 2 columns wider left, 2 columns wider right, 1 column (no idea how that would look like...either all in the wider-format or mixed i guess)...the 3 columns could have the wider ones in the left, middle or right. i think you got it. Nothing urgent ofcourse, but would be nice to have such a variety now that you started it, could be very useful for different devices, like tablets, phones and resolutions (4:3, 16:9, etc.)

dAXX: you sure you hit the correct SUBMIT-Button? There are three of those...one for the addition of boxes on the top (choose one, hit SUBMIT to add it, wait for SUCCESS-message, move it and click the...) ...one for the upper part with the boxes, it´s in the downer right corner underneath the boxes. A third one is for the settings under the boxes. And there´s even a fourth one now that i re-checked, but this one reads "reset front page settings !" and is red, so you dont hit it by accident! I dont think you clicked that one!

downer right = lower right. (should go to bed now, brain is afk already! ;) )
