zx spectrum modifications

Interested to know any modifications that have been done to the good old zx spectrum
such as higher rez screens, internet connection etc....
it is my dream to get a website i'm working on run on a zx spectrum
I ordered a speccy from ebay but them read that it was not working....
looking forwards to a bit of old basic coding to get me back into the spirit of things....
where can i get a working speccy?
so is manic miner the inspiration behid the bitcoin?
and
where is clive sinclair? where is my touch screen remote bluetooth pad? and my C10 superfast electric buggy?
