We are rebooting >the party<, more info to follow as soon as we get final GO on the new location.

There is also ultimate meeting in griesheim, so christmas should be fun this year.

If you miss TP, you are welcome to support the project.

I strongly question the legitimacy or at least the seriousness of this event as a Dane. It is (very) unclear who is behind it, the pouet account was created one hour ago etc. I can guarantee that it is not anyone who is in any way affiliated with the current Danish demoscene.

Apart from that there is no timetable, no location, no specifics, the registrant of the website is hidden behind a series of fake names etc. The only thing that actually works and is very specific is, surprise, the payment.

If this website was peddling weightloss drugs, you'd call it a scam. I don't know what this is, but I would at the very least be EXTREMELY wary of paying before more specifics surface.

Who are you, lolkatz?

The first thing that springs to mind is:
You need organizers, you need a place to be and theres only 2½ months till its going to happen. While none of those things are ready - you seemed to have figured out to try to make people pay?

I really really hope for you that you're not trying to scam people in the demoscene, that would really not be a smart move.

Also, I you wanna organize a party, don't use The Party as a reference, that is extremely illogical.

Also, what makes people go to parties today, are the reference from the ones organizing. If you don't know who they are, you're not going.

.. last but not least - dude - Wild compo haven't been the most important compo since 1996.

Your site previously stated that your party was not in any way connected to The Party (http://www.theparty.dk/) - is your party now?

Where's the location, who's on the team?

guys, the official site currently looks as a proper scam website, don't know why we would bother to analyse this issue any further.

to the ones that still don't get it... keep your money and give it to some proper hard working organisers of a demoparty of your choice. (e.g. tibblelanparty, etc... ;))) )

(disclaimer: i preserve the right that this proves to be valid demoparty in a future, but currently doesn't seems like one)

btw, kudos to the individual that left the comment "great will try to visit but maybe...". it's evil, but can't stop laughing.

I like the fact that your webpage is optimized for a minimum screen width of ~1500px.

As an organizer of the Ultimate Meeting I must say that we welcome the competition although I doubt that you will get many scene visitors - not because they'll come to the Ultimate Meeting instead - but more because of the facts outlined by the Danes here in this thread.

Still, a few questions which at least I would like an answer to:

- Which organizers are behind it - do they have a Demoscene background and/or affiliation?
- How many visitors do you aim for?
- Why is there an embedded westbam video on the bottom of the page?
- Why doesn't your Paypal integration work?
- Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Maali: I figure you have to bring a party hall, an organizing team, 1500 visitors and the danish police as well.

The plot thickens... if you press the PayPal button n the site, then "Checkout" (don't worry, this is still all before giving paypal your credentials :), the link at the bottom right reads "Return to SUNNY BEACH STUDIOS".

Like. WAT.

Also sunnybeachstudios.com is hosted at the same generic hoster than tp1300.com. Just sayin'.

its a hoax and the entire danish demoscene probably have guessed who did it. Otherwise I'll be happy to give out hints, but at least the internal coms are flooding with a certain name. Nicely spotted KB :)
