Where can one d/l Seize The Day calendar? (peek in for more details)

category: offtopic [glöplog]
Saw this?

http://www.effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/

All this stuff was in a calendar software under DOS-Win3.1-Mac called "Seize the Day" released in 1994.
Do you know a place where one could d/l the full version with all those Living Worlds?
Right now, all I have is the Complementary Edition for Win 3.1 that doesn't even get too close.

Googled all I could, so no lmgtfy.

It is not a spam, by the way. We with OKFG got some Really Big Discussion at a place provided by one of the creators, and, eventually, somebody supplied us with an installed copy.

Hope that my humble opinion will protect OKFG from being wiped out by local administration people. Guys, it is not a spam.

Spam.

I say this after trying to navigate to that site for 15 minutes before managing to find a bloody download link. I mean, hey, why put a download link in the downloads page when you can send people links to some shite blog crap thing where you have to navigate half a page to find another link that points to some files to download?

I wish your website gets "accidentally" deleted by "administration people". It would do the world a great service. Sigh...

I admit it took a moment for me to figure it out with noscript/flashblock type thingies for the boxnet script but it ain't that hard to R-click a place-holder and 'allow' is it? I thought my browser setting's sphincter was tight!
Having said that - I haven't run any of the files (dosbox4linux sux) but on the plus side clamav said they were ok so it MUST be all good. Right? XD

Unless you wrote the software and have concrete proof; that doubt may well be understood and justified.
Permission from whom?

Welcome to Pouet, that friendly place on the internet where if you register an account to post a helpful response to someone's question, you'll be called a spammer, have your website slagged off and be accused of copyright infringement!

Guys, if you think it's spam, I can give quite a direct link to my copy of it so that you won't get like FUUU RIBBONS for nothing.

ggn, try writing a demo knowing only HTML. Hardly possible, eh? Do not blame the others, they might do the best of what they know at the moment, and unless they pretend to be awesome (not in this case), they are not to blame as you did.

By the way, if you find a place where one can actually BUY a REAL and WORKING floppy of this software, please poke us in this thread and perhaps make sure it is there.
If nobody is selling this stuff anymore, then shut your ability to type smelly messages: we were looking for it and distributing it because we thought that it is quite a RARE and HARDLY REACHABLE thing, like some old floppies or quixotic software, and because somebody would like to know what it is. If you think that somebody can still legally make big money on it, go ahead and point us at that man, and we'll ask him if he has any customers.

Gasman, that is ok.

Nevertheless, guys. If there are any gloperators or moderators that could close the topic, you have a good chance to practice.

ringofyre, lemme scare you. It is a Windows 3.1 program. So DOSBox without Win 3.1 will not help you.

By the way, one of the authors told that HE HIMSELF couldn't find any copy to publish it on his own page.
Imagine that: one of the authors wants to publish an old commercial software on his webpage. And supports our help with locating the software. And wants to make it available freely. And nobody objects.

Thanks for pointing that out, skrebbel. =) However, the answer is, and is relatively easy to find right now.

I can't run the XP version. My gfx card doesn't support anything below 16bit color.

"Permission from whom?" #ringofyre

that's fair comment... 3 of the Originators of the program have actually encouraged me in this venture of mine to find and share Seize the Day. Showing copies of emails back and forth with them will prove nothing, thus I won't bother with that. Suffice to say (a) Believe it a sham, or (b) enjoy the program, with compliments.
