Greetings from another dimension.

Hello sceners!

You will probably not believe me, but it's true: I'm Angyna, the lead coder of "Lost Illusions", which is one of the most respected groups in the demo scene. You have never heard of us? That's no surprise. We're living in a parallel universe in which the demo scene has had a different course of history than here. Well, until now. One day I was asking myself what the demo scene might be like if we didn't exist. God listened to me and beamed me into this universe, where we apparently are non-existant. I'm now sitting in a house somewhere in the middle of nothing and typing these lines, aware that I must hurry because the owners of this house might be returning any time soon and I don't know what they will be going to do with me - at least I guess I might have to stop using this computer. So I'll keep it short:

Our group is based in Russia. We started on the ZX Spectrum scene in 1997. We released various demos outside of parties first. Then we participated in Chaos Constructions '00, where we made the first place with our intro "Intravaganza". In 2002 we moved towards PC and decided to enter our next demo to Assembly. In 2003 we won 2nd place at the Assembly demo competition with our OpenGL demo "Butterfly". Next came a demo called "Venus Shore", for The Gathering 2004. If I remember correctly, it came 5th, which was pretty weak for our standards. This defeat was remedied when "Arthroscopy" won Assembly 2004. This was the beginning of a series of success. Since then, we won almost every Assembly, except 2007, when Fairlight and CNCD beat us. Our latest release is "Rondomeria", winner of the combined demo competition at Assembly 2010.

The members of our group are:
- Angyna - code (it's me :)
- Magdadon - music
- Beret - code
- Mainflow - graphics
- Awrawra - graphics, 3D
- Soltan - code, music
- Orban - organizing, PR

Greetings fly to SandS, UniVerse and T-Rex!

Regarding further differences between our two universes: I'm only starting to explore pouet. But I was already surprised to see that a group called ASD won most of the Assembly demo competitions in your universe which we won in ours. In our universe ASD doesn't exist at all... or if it does, it's so tiny that I haven't noticed it. I must say, after watching "Happiness is around the bend" and "Lifeforce", that they are pretty good! Yet you would be amazed if you saw our demos... They are a class of their own. (Hehe, I should perhaps be a bit more modest. :>)

I hope God will beam me back to my own universe... but not too soon so that I will still have some time to explore how the demo scene in your universe is different from mine. I wonder why there's no ASD in our world? Seems that they were discouraged to continue making demos after seeing our works... Well, if something should be changed in my universe, then it would be this - there should be an ASD. It's a pity that in my dimension nobody has ever watched these fine (though not as fine as ours) demos.

Another thing I noticed - you had a party named Breakpoint in your universe! In ours, it doesn't exist...

Well, I'll stop writing now to check out the further differences. Hopefully the people living in this house won't return too soon! See you!
