Dresden Scene Meeting, August 14th 2010

Hello there,
I would like to invite you to a nice little scene meeting in Dresden, the city where I have been living for a year now. The idea is to have a tasty barbeque down at the river, where we can talk about demoscene and whatever stuff while having a cold Radeberger, then moving to the party quarter and discover some of Dresden's great nightlife. For those who are interested, I will even do a guided tour through the city. Seriously.
Anyway, here are the details:
When?
Saturday, August 14th, 2010, starting at 4pm (I guess)
Where?
Dresden, Germany.
In the BBQ-area near Fat Albert's Bridge.
What features?
- Scenish conversations
- stylish BBQ down at the river Elbe (enjoy the famous Canneloni-View)
- a guided tour through Dresden's baroquest corners
- getting banned from "Rosi's Amüsierlokal" for vomiting on the table soccer
- Wer hat dicke Eierschecke?
How to sign up?
Just come by and bring your booze and meat. I'll be there anyway. I heard of some Norwegian musician wanting to come by. And Dodge will arrange a seminar on how to get Fibomoodci work on a real A500. I hope those lazy Leipzigers will also move there asses.
However, it would be extraordinarily great if you dropped me a mail at jurassicpack@web.de if you consider to come and if you like to have a guided tour as well. I might prepare some special booze for you.
So, if you live anywhere near Dresden, there is no excuse not to have a beer with us! (Near Dresden includes Berlin and Prague as well).
I will use this thread and that email adress above to post updates.

I'm feeling tempted to prepare some turingian style Rostbrätel and genuine Rostbratwürste and bring'em to the medow.
The seminar, however, would rather cover how to depack a .dms archive onto a sodden 3.5" floppy disk :)
And if there are folks from the Erfurt - Weimar area that want to hitch a ride to the meeting. I've got 3 seats in my motorised nutshell.

Now this is bad, I live in Dresden, too, but im on vacation on the 14th.
@dodge: That's actually right. Maybe we can talk about the first demo for the cd32's akiko chip then? :)

I just realise that I suck at BitBot-BBS coding. It doesn't even contain the proper map link... But at least you have the date in your scene calender now. :)

I have set up some pepper snaps to praise the Danish Amiga Scene which rescued the Amiga 64k compo at breakpoint!
Only a few days to go...
Current planning is as follows:
14.00 Guided tour (write me an email if you want this)
17.00 Teh Barbeque (please bring your own stuff, but I'll invite you to Eierschecke and Peppersnaps and I'll bring the bbq equipment of course)
21:30 Moving on to some clubs
I will have an FM-transmitter so if you bring your old rusty radios we can air some nice chiptuning!
Only thing I'm a bit afraid of is the weather... risk of rain is 65%... but there is a bridge to hide under. ;)

Well... not excactly... I bought a bottle of vodka and poured a whole package of pepper in. Just like Booster told me. And it instantly gives me an awful hickup, just from sipping. It's disgusting. I think I'll put some water in it. Or aspirin.

Forget that part. My old transmitter doesn't work with batteries anymore, so I thought: "Great, they are legal these days so I just buy one for 15 € at my local store." Ha! One step away from the radio and the radios stop receiving already. Crap!
