We don’t know how we feel about the news that Bjork has recruited Timbaland to work with her on her forthcoming new album.

who gives a fuck about some unknown icelandic musician. where is iceland anyways?!? she should be proud that timbaland is making her music famous.

gasman: HHAHAHA! God that's good! I thought my comment was sort of humorous, but yours was downright hillarious -- kudos for that one dude. :)

I have more faith in an army of nerds than a gaggle of top 40 music fans.
with this nerd army properly motivated, we could take over the world!!!
(or maybe somewhere the size of luxemburg, at least)

The military of Luxembourg consists of a solitary branch: the army; Luxembourg has no navy or air force. The army has been an all-volunteer force since 1967. It has a current strength of approximately 450 professional soldiers, about 340 enlisted recruits and 100 civilians,

so far it sounds pretty much doable indeed... :-)

and a total budget of $120 million.

uns3en_ : the the of some people bringing race into this specific thing, kernkraft/zombie nation and david whittaker's "lazy jones" game music, many years before. BOTH are white, it was settled. Race has got as much to do with this as a motorbike has anything to do with snowboarding (nothing).

Well... there are snowmobiles...

And I'm still to see that on a Portuguese site so I can spam about the scene (and Breeze Demoparty 2007) :(

Sure. Just throw in a racial epithet or two.
xernobyl : I have mailed tempest, with some info/advice. Hopefully he'll read it. It contains some specific info about a friends track which unless you publish/release music, might be un-aware of (and no thats not an assumption). I seem to get slated here by certain ppl, thats ok. If that makes you happy, do so.
it was joke old64scener yo!

Btw; for everyone who wants to help spread the message, here is a little tip. What I have done these last few days is effectively single out sites that might find the controversy interesting and mail them. I do this by searching Google News/Yahoo News for stories about either Timbaland or Nelly Furtado and then mail those newspapers/websites/blogs who write about either one.

Seems to work pretty well, but the more people who do this, the better. Put some pressure on their asses etc. :)

Oh; and write in a serious tone, not just "yo dude, check -- RIPPED AND STUFF! OMG!!" and use the most serious links as references (the Rolling Stone-news (the second one) has proven pretty effective to get peoples attention. Side-Line also, as it is well-known and respected.

basically about the the laws about sampling. It's not law, this is just a paper on it and has to be approved by the EU.
Things like how materal should not noe extended from 50 to 95 years etc. BUT the most interesting part was "transformative" samples, that don't affect the original work. Things like.. e.g. sampling a kick drum etc. NOT a whole sequence.
You just wait until the next Pan-American demoscene contest happens!
