Loose Change isn't BS, but contains quite a few inaccuracies and stuff. That should all be resolved in the "Final Cut" coming later this year.

But I personally prefer some of Alex Jones' movies like "911 The Road to Tyranny" and "Terrorstorm".

Scepticism is good and essential. I only hate it when it becomes a religion of people who simply fight to disprove everything in the paranormal/conspiracy side no matter if there are some true facts or not there, when people are trying to manipulate things so that it fits their own view instead of just trying to subjectively see what is there and what not.

cruzor: And in what context do they say that? Don't confuse angry with hateful. They're very angry sometimes, but then in some situations anger is the only reasonable response. Look, a bunch of environmentalists who don't know the chemical makeup of water. Gets me sort of annoyed as well.

Influence Device: I know the feeling. It also pisses me off that some people can't even seem to deal with the idea that 9/11 might have been an inside job without getting angry at the messenger.

The problem with most of the conspiracy videos, and with conspiracy theories in general, is that they can be based on complete fabrications and some people will still believe them. Like, take the WTC buldings collapsing from the top down, just like in controlled demolitions. That doesn't actually happen, but you can still make the claim and get a lot (!) of people to agree with you that it's highly suspicious. By the time anyone ever manages to bring enough attention to the fact that controlled demolitions start at ground level, another dozen claims will have started to circulate. As a whole, the conspiracy can never be disproven, in part because it perpetually grows, and ultimately because the people who believe in it would never accept that - you can always just make the conspiracy a little bit bigger to include those people who otherwise would have debunked it.

Ask yourself what could possibly make you change your mind. If, say, every part of Loose Change was complete crap, would that do it? If nothing could, no matter what, then you're not investigating anything, just finding more excuses to believe what you want to believe, and whether or not you're right becomes irrelevant.

As for Alex Jones, I don't know him. I did like this though:

That's why sometimes I like the effort of James Randy or various other sceptics (I haven't watched those Pen&Teller guys before though). That's why I liked Carl Sagan's book "The Demon-Haunted World" and I can truly understand his worry.

However at the same time I really love reading paranormal or conspiracy stories and when people notice that I read Strange-Egnarts (some crazy greek paranormal magazine I haven't missed an issue ;), they try to tell me that I am reading rubbish or that they steal my money to tell lies. But why just reading something of the paranormal side does get those responses? Also, does it mean that because I read it I believe it too? Do I think "Hey! True informations!!!" while reading? No, I read it as you'd read a science fiction book, but with the scary feeling that some of these things could be possibly true. I just enjoy it but don't believe it's true or a lie.

I honestly don't even know who they are. (My fault for not owning a television, I suppose.) A friend sent me that link some months ago, so I posted it here for shits and giggles.

For the record, I believe them more than the conspiracy theorists, but do think the "verbal aggression" used during their video is more than a little unnecessary.
