So 1988 (or even earlier). And I don't understand why do you need gl for this? It's 2006 guys! If you want to code oldskool demos choose different platform than PC.

That's not demo art, that's a bad conversion of an old C64 intro. It took about 8K on the original...

History is history, and in some cases, should stay that way.
Doing this in opengl is just purely lame. Sorry. Do that on and oldmachine, 100% asm with no librarys.

Well... I am a little confused since as an old Ikari (and Talent) maniac I appreciate these way of expression of respect (or call it whatever you want). But Lancer, dude. I believe you wanted to do some kinda of tribute, but imo a tribute should be better than an original, am I right? It is a pity, but it is not that case, man. Logo is quite ok, but look at the scroller-filling. In addition the music does not loop. I wil not give a thumb down ONLY because it came from your good feelings. Better luck next time. Cheers.

i used to hate fake oldschool crap but this made me change my mind!
I just love the support, and comments on how to improve that you get here. But then again .... this is what is expected here. This may not be something that I like but keep on trying. Loved the tune anyway.
Sorry for Ikari/Talent fans! I did this style of intros in 199x without libraries, without assembler, monitor etc. Nowadays it is far more easier to do intros because you don't have to code everything from the scratch.

Hmm.. Interesting statement. That means back then as Excel coded the original you were sitting in some dark bush (without monitor), fiddling with Basic (without assembler), wondering that your scrollers were tearing apart (even without libraries).
