- Good one. The music was somewhat inconsistent and prog rock didn't fit in well. SSAO produced a lot of artifacts (especially at the beginning)
Otherwise, nothing to complain about - GREAT WORK!
PS Navis, it would be very interesting to find out more about the deformation you applied to all these meshes during the metamorphosis/morphing sequences. I know you quite your blog, but I think we all would appreciate more details about the production of this masterpiece. - rulezadded on the 2010-08-12 15:12:15

- Alright no bad, even though the concept and the execution are rather mediocre.
And I'd expect their babies to look more like

- Not bad at all, but I still don't dig your style. Aliasing and some rendering bugs kind of ruin it. But who gives a shit anyways, just keep on doing the stuff!

- Interesting atmosphere in a couple of scenes and fairytale-ish music I liked (reminds of some Soviet movies from my childhood). I'm not arguing the choice of colors nor some effects 8)

- Hilarious! Probably they weren't even spehres, more like sprites rendered in screen space with normals + z and stuff (as in "screen-space meshes" paper I guess). and 4Ks really seem to benefit from great direction! First place I guess, gratz!

- iq: so you mean you didn't discretize the volume and sample your function on each step for each ray? How many function computations did you need for that picture? Did you calc distance to the lines to get the tentacles? Also considering "heaviness" of the final function how did you get AO? Did you sample your field in random points (within hemisphere) near the evaluation point? How many samples did you use than? And I'm still surprised it all takes just about 30 seconds for that (or did you use some tricks to decrease the time for this function evaluation?) !!! Thanks for answers ;)
