  These are very interesting developments! With these optimizations an intro could easily be written with eight effects, or four even more complicated ones. You're bringing the capabilities right into Memories territory ;)
  
  There are some really interesting things yet to be done, like implementing more complicated instructions, different opcode streams (2-bit, 4-bit, prefix code?) Maybe an editor that can drop custom VMs depending on the instruction set required by the effects?

• Oh wow! You managed to remove quite a few bytes. And even decipher the 3-bit programs! Excellent work. The dithering indeed looks nicer :)

• Yup, it's software rendering. This time we used a plain old textured triangle rasterizer for most things, and a simple particle drawing routine. Damage optimized the SoundBox player code quite a bit during our last three intros, and did some customization to the tracker as well.

• The compo version requires that the screen is clicked around during the music precalc so that the browser is willing to play the audio. There should be safe version link appearing at some point which has a button to press which gets rid of that issue. Meanwhile you can click here
  
  I think this time we managed to make a better intro than the one at Assembly'22. The intro is completely software rendered at 720p, and we're using the Canvas API only to obtain a framebuffer to draw in. We're already working on the next one, and direction is definitely one of the many things we want to improve.

• This is tracked and coded in about ten evenings. We ended up rushing things, of course, and had to remove some colors and filters that would have made the visuals a bit more pleasant. The end could have used a bit more content as well, to match the tune. Anyways, this was a good experience making a 4k for the first time after twenty years and right now it feels like we'll be making many more in the future.
