- demo Windows jososou by Grape & Procreation
- i like it. great music. the design is a bit farbrausch and a bit haujobby with a little different and good colour scheme. nice looking stuff, but seems to lack a personal sense of style. however, good effects, and fairly slick and professional. (this is a review of the final by the way)

- demo Windows Mediocrity 2 by Phantasy
- really cute for a fast production.. i think the kindergarten sort of color scheme is charming with this kind of design (which i like very much).. a little short, and while i like the idea of the music, the execution and sound quality is a little lacking.. whatever, the demo's small and has a unique flavor so that's good..

- 64k Windows VESTLANDSLEFSE by Mainloop [web]
- great design and sweet fx (though some look better than others.. the tunnel is a little messy).. i dig the music, but you have really got to pay attention when messing around with dissonance.. so i think one more remix of the track would have bridged the difference between 'intellectually interesting but not quite there' and frickin' cool..

- demo Windows fr-025: the.popular.demo by Farbrausch [web]
- well, i've always respected fr, but between the demo with josie and this one i can say that my only reservation has been evaporated.. i thought they lacked soul, but a demo and an intro prove me very wrong.. at any rate, i have to say, i think the vocals here rock.. i defy any of the nay sayers to find me a eurodisco track with male vocals that is any better than this.. in fact, i've got it stuck in my head right now. and as for being an mtv video clip, well, whatever, there's all sorts of dope code in here that qualifies this as top o' the line demo material.. just to be judicious i'll mention two minor negatives.. a) it's too short and b) the funky dancin' was done better in digital murder's just a touch of funk.. judged on it's own terms though, this is much too good a bit of digital crack for anyone to be scoffing at when they're getting supplied for free.

- 64k Windows fr-030: candytron by Farbrausch [web]
- alright.. well, i guess this is frickin' cool.. the music is exactly what i like and the fact a voice synth was squeezed in there leaves me in awe.. the model actually looks like a real woman (proportions are not stupidly out of scale) and because of that is the sexiest demo woman i've seen.. she does seem to have mittens for hands and gumboots for feet, but hey, i guess you needed those extra polygons for nipples.. anyways, great modelling.. the fact she looks so good and moves quite well keeps it from being too uhm, adolescently sexist.. so therefore, my only complaint is that the framerate is low compared to other fr productions and, of course, the need to reboot after watching.. grr.. but thumbs up for sure..

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS iraq by animators [web]
- hmm.. anyone know if this runs under uae? if so, i'll redownload that thing to watch this ancient but topical piece of art. i remember sorta liking it back in '91.. back when i still had faith in the united snakes of america..

- demo Windows Mikado by Tristar & Red Sector Inc. [web]
- worked all the way for me.. though i'm not sure the sync was perfect.... the acid-trance ended halfway through the scene with the spaceship over the ocean thingy.. anyways, if i put myself in the mindset where i'm pretending my pc is a circa '92 amiga, this blows me away.. otherwise, the best i can say is it doesn't get me bored, and it does look like a (rather rushed) trsi demo.. so i guess that's good.. but recent amiga demos put this in a bad light as far as design and style goes, so no thumb up for me.. enjoyed it, but now it goes to recycling..
