- demo Windows Broadband by T-Rex [web]
- the design was a little overloaded with fonts.. the little signs (notice.ttf if i'm not mistaken) worked well.. music was unique, though that synth-guitar lead sound makes me want to kill.. other than that, i liked it.. kind of a fluppy subject to do a conceptual demo on, but lots of extra nice effects, layers and layers of of eye candy and good 2d/3d mixture keep it entertaining..

- demo Windows Infinity! by K-Storm [web]
- one of the top ten demos of 2003! ;) lots of wiggling black vertical lines!
it's pretty well done.. there were a couple unique ideas tacked on to many familiar things (3d scene explorer, tunnel).. there's one abstract object i really liked.. the music is much too 'epic' for me.. overall there was a certain lack of cohesion with little to link the various parts together.. good marks for effort tho. - isokadded on the 2003-01-11 11:02:59
- demo Windows TinyKnot by Oxygene [web]

- 64k Windows Vortex - Digitally Remastered by Digital Dynamite [web]
- barely gets a thumbs up because of economic use of bytes.. plus i love wireframe overlay stuff (such as the screenshot above).. very well done however, this is much too long and spends too long on lifeless 3d scenes..

- demo Windows (we took the) greenpill by Haujobb
- well, it's haujobb, so of course it's good.. excellent mix of 2d graphics and effects with 3d.. the poem font is not unattractive, but too cheesy and doesn't fit the rest.. music's eerie and good - the beat gets monotonous, but there may be thematic reasons for that.. in regards to the content and some above comments, this didn't strike me a pro-drug.. in fact it seemed a commentary on society's need to encourage people to "blunt the edges" of reality to keep themselves in check (which i suppose is why the pill looks a lot like prozac)..

- demo Windows a x-mas card by Yaphan
- making you rethink all those other extremely terse negative reviews, isn't it spengler? not seeming quite so terrible now are they?

- 64k Windows westside twiddly by Aardbei [web]
- hmmm.. kinda dull.. features one of the longest decrunching screens ever! (fortunately there's an option to get around that but then it's no longer a 64k).. beautiful particle effects.. good modeling and blobby things.. nice mood.. a few good 2d effects (wished there were more).. nice music.. well, nice except for the kick drum which is much too loud and sustains too long thereby really detracting from the rest of the composition.. just a matter of opinion i guess but it almost ruined the prod for me :)

- demo Windows f1rstro
- replay imitation? vector graphics existed before replay.. replay looks clean and tidy and minimalist.. this looks dirty and grungy and minimalist :)
