- ep: here i quote you to make your bloated ego happy:
Quote:You read one word out of 10
People read what they want to read, that's the basic principle of diskmags. Man can't compel everyone to read all optimus and ep's verbal diarrhoea, torture has officially been abolished in Europe and even in the USA!
Quote:and you are always easy on giving thumbs down
Don't you know Pouet yet ? that's common Pouet anarchy, the ultimate demo-cracy around! ;p If you can't bear it, don't post here. And you couldn't expect a row of thumbs up with your former lame authoritative stance.
Though i've found this hugi better than the previous one (some would say it's easy as pie ;) thanks to always appreciated party reports and nice tunes. And because adok seems to have stopped his medical crap and pro-US political support and whim to explain us the cracking scene. Hugi could be fine as scene introduction to newbies IF there were some counter-articles answering your own ones or at least a warning stating that your ideas are very polemic (to say the least) in the scene audience.
Quote:somes of you have hurted me by bad demos
the one who hasn't understood yet what was written is definitely YOU! Read on my fingers: Demoscene isn't there to please you mister egomaniac! If current demos don't please you, make your own ones that'll please you. That's the simple rule. That's how the scene evolves. And not under the pressure of your nonsense textual flow.

- btw ep's article called "My vision of my Boss" where he depicts Adok & co as "top elite brains of the era, modern Einsteins, Genius" and himself as the scene jesus is truly laughable :D

ep: i've read all your blabla (fast reading rox! :p) and what you "reveal" is :
You've mostly been only a mail swapper. Your profile is common in the scene : the trader/sysop who distributes the scene prods but hardly produces anything. That's not a reproach but you really don't have any concrete arguments and knowledge to give orders to current active demomakers.
Your scene story is full of french scene name-dropping : blabla made blabla guile blabla tenshu blabla alkama blabla ghandy etc... but your achievements aren't really outstanding for lack of being non-existent.
There is a funny article in Hugi16 called THE DECAY OF SWAPPERS which perfectly describes your character :
Quote:Let's say the whole truth right at the beginning: Mailswappers have always
been the consumers of the scene. Unless they had a second skill, they did not
contribute to the making of scenish productions. Usually their motive to start
swapping was to obtain good scene stuff easily. At the same time, they,
however, also spread stuff in the scene. That is why they served an important
function in the past. For some demo sceners this is the only difference
between a mailswapper and a lamer.
[...] Some ex-swappers display really lame behaviour. [...]
Instead of just wasting their time idling on IRC, why don't the swappers do
something useful for the scene? Confronted with this question, most of them
give a simple answer: they cannot contribute to making demos or intros because
they have never learned to code, to paint or to compose. However, there are
still many possibilities to take part in the scene in a positive sense.
For instance, they could become editors of scene mags. Why don't you old
swappers who complain about the scene of today write articles about the days
of the scene you liked, about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings? That
would certainly be interesting to the people who have not been around so long,
which is the majority of the scene.
btw if you bother to know, this article was written by a certain Adok/Hugi. ;D
Your PC is shit :p Hehe you blame modern demos for being slow, not optimized and unwatchable but you proudly own a FX5200... PLEASE GET A DECENT VIDCARD before blaming coders for your lamitude!
You are afraid by modern PC power, complexity and almost unlimited possibilities. You are getting old fast!
You are a clueless oldschooler, a grumpy old fool at only 29! Because you quitted the scene (or should i say quitted following the scene) years ago and you've recently tried to catch up by downloading a few demos, reading some diskmags and forum threads, you think you have enough clues about scene evolution to boldly state that oldschool scene spirit is gone !? May i tell you that the current underground scene is full of old spirit, but you obviously don't have a clue about it. You have been trading cracked games in your teenies but now you are blaming piracy for being baaad. That's typical for a vieux con!
Your scene view is so partial, biased and egocentric : for example you think all demoparties have turned into boozing fests because you've seen some slengpung photos whereas the demoparties you attended in the past weren't like that. Haven't you ever considered that this difference may not be time-related but cultural and geographical ? French demoparties (like the only ones you attended) are usually more "quiet" and "clean" (some would say boring ;) than German and Scandinavian ones. You apparently don't have enough clearsightedness and/or party experience in space and time to drop peremptory verdict about modern demoparties. In fact you want to put ALL the scene inside your narrow idea boxes through your outside-of-the-box point of view. Pretty overconfident!
You are full of paradoxes (like any human being though) : you hate school but work as a school network admin, you hate people giving you orders but you give orders to the scene, you hate money and consumerism but you are a clueless demo consumer obsessed by profitability. You blame PC for being both complexe and compatible whereas PC compatibility is in fact a blessed gift for coders and users : being no more the slaves of hardware and manufacturers does make life far more easier!
You are a disgusting male chauvinist pig and you are clueless in this domain too lol, as gay men do score girls way more easily! =D
Man i pity your 5 girlfriends.
You aren't a fun guy. You are obsessed by your health and the continual search for happiness which irremediably leads to sadness. Your aversion for black stuff is childish, and could you please accept that man can like cyberpunk, industrial and techno stuff while NOT being perverted/disturbed. I DO make the distinction between art/demos/games/literature/movies and reality. I fuckin love Kasparov/Suspend demos/military FPS/Neuromancer/Brazil and i deeply hate US weapons of mass destruction and Bush criminal wars.
Nevertheless like in all Optimus verbal diarrhoea and after filtering out ego stuff, spiteful words, clueless generalizations and redundant blabla, i've found some interesting historical and technical facts. Even some mind-questioning ideas.
But i do still think you totally have forgotten the scene spirit, vieux con! :P - rulezadded on the 2005-02-04 22:07:17
