- Do it right. Either twerk properly or go full tunnel effect, don't take the middle road and clip... But far be it from me to be a naysayer, especially when the satire is so well made! :D

- demo Windows Beyond the walls of Eryx by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- It's static in nature and the prose creates a disconnect. I usually like ASD demos a lot, but not this one. Sorry.

- Trixter: Yes, the thumb down was unfair to the other work. You didn't announce that part or the other such parts as data replay exercises, though. And that's fine. It's unfair to call them just exercises after release and write-ups after that work, and strange that you should.
I take it back, we should all do nothing but write generators of single-cased code lumps that play data lumps. After all, nothing else will use the platform fully. But that's not good effects. That's cynical and desperate effects.
So I take it back again. I think there's every reason to never go full cynic, and to promote creative, native effects. On that note: really good Wayne bars! - isokadded on the 2015-04-26 18:30:50

- Hm :'( wanted to thumb this up, but can't run it.
Had to disable the antivirus, np. Starts fine but loader bar hangs halfway through, no specific error message, just the usual "Stopped responding".
Win 7 x64, 7970, G3258.
I think you just have to test it on Win 7 and you'll find the error. Or give me advice so I can run it :) - isokadded on the 2015-04-25 00:26:19

- Yes, you have carefully set the rotation values to generate ~45 frames of data and wrap, so you can run each object anim 3-6 times before switching. Don't want to make it too obvious now do we.
And after all, it's only for the compo, not for vector lovers, so it only has to last so long.
Animation players are the great platform equalizers, aren't they? Make demoshock to scener brain.
Sorry, animation-presented-as-effect equals thumb down for me. - sucksadded on the 2015-04-25 00:08:53
- 64k Windows Offscreen Colonies by Conspiracy [web]
- The scenes are basically very visually pleasing and well designed "photos", and the music is tight and well made, though not engaging, it fits.
Demoish style is there and greetings as scenes is well conceived.
I wouldn't mind showing this to non-sceners as what can be done within a 64K limit.
Maybe I was looking for some cool scene or effect and was let down. Still, the quality deserves a thumb - perhaps that, too, were in the project specifications. - rulezadded on the 2015-04-24 23:38:41
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Planet Rocklobster by Oxyron [web]
- Axis: The prod as a whole still wins out, despite "going Spaceballs" ;) cos it also had impressive real-time parts with really good code, not that I judge only based on code. You can be sure I thumb down animation-presented-as-effect if that's not the case.
It's also 'just info' cos far from all know what the platform can and can't do in real-time, and animation players are just too tempting and easy, compared to a real-time 3D engine doing the tie fighter tunnel in half the fps. If the info is not there, that coder would be perceived as not as good, which is untrue. - isokadded on the 2015-04-24 23:07:53
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Straff by Spaceballs [web]
- Animation presented as effect, so thumb goes down obviously.
Going for 'wow' again with attacking music (which is perfect except for the patented seriously low samplerate). Lots of work put into scripting, running, generating the data that is to make the scenes flashy and glitchy. Nicely packaged. - sucksadded on the 2015-04-24 22:47:09
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Vold by Spaceballs [web]
- Didn't enjoy it, I think mostly from the late 90s/early 2000s depressing (for me) general mood the visuals and music create.
I don't mind it, I can see you were trying for "dubstep awesome" (which it can be!), it's just that I seem to get a choice between chunky or 1 bitplane effects during the whole demo, and neither are visually appealing. - isokadded on the 2015-04-24 22:08:09

- Everything looks like shit except the egg...
Thumbdown to balance out the horrible selfvoting going on in here!!
Hidden easter egg that is actually... an Easter egg... well that was the little joke. Hoho. It was ready but family reasons trump release dates every day of the year. - sucksadded on the 2015-04-19 22:49:31
