• Actually this makes me wonder if some synthesis à la Roland D-50 (samples for attack phase, "real" synthesis for the rest) would work in modern 64k synths. 30 years ago they already knew that the attack is the most crucial and hardest to emulate part, so they simply fixed it with tiny samples. ;) Basically the snare drums in this intro sound as if you did the same thing, but accidentally forgot to emulate the attack phase.
