• evil: There is nothing wrong, your CPU is simply too slow. The softsynth eats a lot of CPU power in some parts (like the voronoi part), which leaves little left for the graphics.

• Yay, so it works on:
  
  - my ATI card (Radeon 9600 Pro, Linux)
  - titanstar's ATI card (Radeon 7500 Mobillity, Windows XP)
  - our debug machine's ATI card (Radeon 8500, Windows 2000)
  - the compo machine (Radeon 9800, Windows XP)
  
  but obviously failing on every other ATI card in the world... okay, _this_ sounds easy to debug... :-/
